Now that was time well spent!

I think we should all take up a collection and offer to donate it to the charity of the band's choice if they play all of those songs, in that order, for their 20th anniversary show 8-)
And I listen for the voice inside my head... nothing. I'll do this one myself.
  • curious----for those that hv listened or the creator...was this spliced together (if that's the term) to sound like one continuous concert like Green Habit?

From what I've listened to so far, it really does sound like a concert. The songs aren't spliced, per se, but the songs do go together quite nicely. That was one thing I was still working on with my project, to avoid having Ed introduce Army Reserve at teh end of one song and then go into Betterman or something.
  • Thanks to all of you for your appreciation around my compilation, it feels good to hear so much positive feedback. I've tried discussing live Pearl Jam quite a few times on this board and have gotten very little interest.
In regards to the question about how the songs sound. I have done some editing to cut out most of Ed`s talking but the songs are not spliced together in anyway, it`s mostly a slight fade in and fade out. I did spend quite a bit of time on the track-listing and the order of the songs though. Glad to hear people are enjoying this and I definitely plan on updating it in the future.

Could you post this on etree.org?

It won't be aloud, even on bt.etree.org. This is a compilation & in mp3 format, not a single show.

Hmm, the Green Habit comp was on etree. Well, anyway, could someone invite me or whatever to demonoid? It won't let me just join.
  • Somebody has brought it to my attention that the version of Soldier Of Love I used is Mislabeled. I will update it in the track listing once I figure it out.

The amount of interest shown in this compilation has inspired me to start another one. I'm going to do one for the Binaural Tour to celebrate the ten year anniversary of what I feel is Pearl Jam's Pinnacle as a live Band! There are so many incredible performances from the 2000 tour, I'm really looking forward to making something that I hope will be pretty special. I have alot of great Ideas for this one and I'm going to try not to duplicate any songs that I used for my 7 disc compilation. If anyone has any suggestions for songs for the 2000 tour please let me know.

Thanks again for all the feedback I really appreciate it and If anyone has the third night in Philly that they wouldn't mind sharing with me please let me know, I've ordered the box set but I just can't wait to hear this show!

I recently finished my Live Pearl Jam compilation I had been working on the past few months. With just under 200 hours spent on it, it was quite the undertaking but so much fun at the same time. One of my biggest passions in life is live pearl Jam, I can't seem to get enough of it. I have every official bootleg and many more from 92-98.I listen to an average of 3 shows per week and I wish I had time for more. With the recent launch of Pearl Jam Radio and the 2010 tour I thought it would be a great time to get my compilation out there. I was inspired by the Green Habit Compilation that came out a few years back, but i felt like I could make one better! In my opinion they used far to many bad recordings of songs and the whole listening experience suffered from that and I used 7 discs instead of 10. I liked the idea of using a mix of originals and covers performed by the band and I wanted each disc to play like it's own mini show. I hope a few of you check it out and let me know what you think. One thing I have learned about live Pearl Jam compilations and discussing live PJ are that some people prefer different versions of songs than others and I think that's a great thing. While I may not have picked someone's favorite version of a particular song I hope after listening you can see why I picked the one I did and let's be honest when you make a compilation of songs from the greatest live band in the world that have been playing together almost twenty years there was alot to choose from! (My only regret is that I finished this just before the Philadelphia bootlegs were released)

I have the Torrent up on Demonoid right know hope you enjoy.

congrats on a successful project and upload! There are many i would have included myself and others i'm looking forward to hearing. I upped an EV compilation on Demonoid called "Vocals and Guitar" if anyone's interested. I think it's fairly definitive and positive feedback so far. Thanks again Man.

  • Does anybody know where the version of Soldier Of Love that is in the Signature live section of gremmie.net is from. I realized that I used this version for my compilation and not the one from the Christmas Single like I thought. I would love to be able to correct this discrepancy. I assume it's Pre-2000 because of the reference to Beth. Any help would be appreciated.
