I recently finished my Live Pearl Jam compilation I had been working on the past few months. With just under 200 hours spent on it, it was quite the undertaking but so much fun at the same time. One of my biggest passions in life is live pearl Jam, I can't seem to get enough of it. I have every official bootleg and a few more from 92-98.I listen to an average of 3 shows per week and I wish I had time for more. With the recent launch of Pearl Jam Radio and the 2010 tour starting,I thought it would be a great time to get my compilation out there. I liked the idea of using a mix of originals and covers performed by the band and I wanted each disc to play like it's own mini show. I hope some of you check it out and let me know what you think. One thing I have learned about live Pearl Jam compilations and discussing live PJ are that some people prefer different versions of songs than others and I think that's a great thing. While I may not have picked someone's favorite version of a particular song I hope after listening you can see why I picked the one I did and let's be honest when you make a compilation of songs from the greatest live band in the world that have been playing together almost twenty years there was alot to choose from! (My only regret is that I finished this just before the Philadelphia bootlegs were released)

    Dude (or dudette), you're awesome. I actually have an unfinished project of my own (was pending the Philly release) where I made a "best of" from my own collection. Instead of 7 concerts, I have one thirteen hour concert, including an imagined sequence where the band plays TEN in its entirety.

    Thanks for posting the tracklist - that is great. Offering to post the torrent is even more amazing.

    By the way, I was just cross-checking our lists and we both chose the same versions of Release, Marker and a couple others. I am pretty amazed since you have every official release, dwarfing my collection, and yet we still came to agreement on a few. Very cool!

    We also chose the same version of Smile and Animal, but I thought Daughter at Grand Rapids 5/17/06 was the most epic version.

    At one point I also had Fortunate Son from Perth, but replaced it with State College 5/3/03

    GREAT effort by you. I was just thinking of making a "BEST OF", just for the 4 PHILLY shows. I might have a hard time picking out songs from 4 shows. I can't imagine the WORK it took, for what you did. Good shit.

    This is something I have done myself in the past just to make walkman playlists but this is so extensive and it's very commendable of you to make this all available for others to enjoy. I just introduced my sister in law to PJ with a 5 disc compilation of live songs from official boots and she's desperate to hear more so this might be my next gift. :D
