Saw Shawn perform in York last night - he was amazing (Crown of Thorns and It's Not Too Late 2 particular highlights for me)!

During the set someone asked that he come back soon and bring Brad along. he said he'd been trying to persuade Stone - but that he wasn't into the idea. Which brought a few comments from the crowd. So Shawn said
"you should all send bad messages to him".

Great night, great bloke, great hat ;) - met him briefly after the show. Hope he comes back to the UK soon.

Disclaimer: please note that although Shawn did indeed tell us to 'send bad messages' to Stone - he was in fact only joking. So please do not actually send bad messages to the Stonemeister.

    What was the venue like, is it a converted church? I had a ticket, but my wifes mum got rushed into hospital on tuesday and there was no way I could make it.

    Funny, this is the 2nd time someone has said that Shawn has blamed Stone about something...touring Europe and the other was releasing the next Brad album free on the internet or something...

    It's Stone's fault.

    Sorry to hear that - hope all is well. It was a beautiful setting - old 1135 church - not really converted - just all of the old interior removed. Basically just an old empty church.

    He did say he was hoping to come back soon - so maybe you'll have another chance. Only wish I'd gone to the Edinburgh gig too!

    hahaha... Just saw Stone and he has been busy with his own album, I personaly like Bayleaf way better than Brad, and PJ more... So Stone, keep busy!! :)

    Different tastes are what makes it interesting. I'll take Brad over Stone solo any day! Bring on that new Brad disc. It is supposed to have been done and being shopped, so get it released!

    went to see Shawn Smith in London last night (very good...and 500 yards from my house to make it even sweeter :p)

    asked him about the Brad record:
    it's been in the can for 5 years!!
    it's now mixed.
    he hasn't a clue when/if it's being released.
