The "Rumor Pit" was my favorite part of the old Synergy site. Great idea on trying to bring it back.

Q: Why the f*ck has Pearl Jam not played Atlanta in over 7 YEARS? Do we not spend enough on merchandise to make it worthwhile? Is it because Jeff got too scared last summer? Is it our hair? Are our teeth not white enough? Why?
ten club will put on sale pj wristband like the one Jeff wearing in jazzfest?

They've barely done any touring since Obama took office, as opposed to the major tours they did in 2003 and 2006. And also, the majority of that was in 2003 when the war was in the beginning stages.
words seem so out of place.

Went to 7 shows last year NEVER got mentioned... Obama was wentioned in a very positive light (and I am a big supporter)
I agree, WTF???
Great thread. I'd love to here answers to these questions!
Here's my question: Can the band PLEASE bring back price tiering at their shows, and give an affordable alternative which would be seats in the back?
I don't remember ever seeing them have price tiering, with the only exception being at amphitheaters where the lawn is always less for all shows.
You're right. I'd rephrase that to: Can the band please consider introducing price tiering for their shows, as many fans want to go see them, but cannot afford the steep price of what their tickets now cost? Not to mention, that we are still in a recession...

While I get your tiered pricing idea, I think it's bound to backfire, which is why the band hasn't adopted it yet. Venues and promoters and, lets face it, the band do not want to do the shows for any less money than they already are, so as the prices for the worst seats in the house go down, the prices for the best seats go up. As a result, you can now sit behind the stage in the balcony for 30 bucks, but decent seats like the ones you're accustomed to in the 10C are upwards of 150. Surprise, surprise, 10C pairs reach the 300 dollar mark and everyone puts on their sell out faces. The non-tiered system as it is now, while inherently "unfair", is the best thing for the fans.

Completely disagree. It has been shown that the die-hard fan will pay just about anything involving the band, including increasing cost of shows and all kinds of merchandise. Therefore, no worries on selling 10 tix, even if they were up to $300/pr. The average fan, as we will find out if these shows are not sold out, are not willing to pay top dollar to be in the back, or behind the stage. To please all fans, it's in PJ's best interest to have price tiers. Not everyone is rich or willing to pay top dollar for the band.

A more convincing argument could be made for auctioning. Front row goes to the highest bidders ($500 to $5000 per ticket would be possible). Second row, third row, fourth row, etc... all the way to the back where tickets might go for $5 all the way in the back.
...but then PJ will have only affluent people up front, leaving those with a limited budget furthest away from the stage.
(I think this topic is worthy of a WHOLE OTHER thread... so lets not get this Rumor Pit thread locked, ok?)

A: Only if you really want to rip more faces up.
They've tiered it in Columbus at $49 or $69...which isn't all that much. 10 Club tickets were $75 per ticket after the various service fees.
