Hartford - debacle last tour

When I went to the will call window to pick up 10c tix in Hartford was a disaster. Had to wait there a long time and ended up missing the first three songs! People pushing and shoving like it was 1995. Glad they are not playing the same place this time.

    Show up earlier, I waited about 30 seconds for my tix. It was a mess, but showing up at 8:00 is asking for trouble.

    That's partly true... I dont know where the fault was, but that's not normal for any show. Still - no reason to wait until last minute when you have to wait for something.

    I also got my tickets in like 30 seconds but we showed up around soundcheck so obviously not huge crowds then.

    Yeah, I've heard alot about the ticket insanity at Hartford last time with alot of people missing 6 songs etc. I'm going to get to Hartford and get my tix as soon as the 10c window opens, then I can relax ;)

    two guys next to me in the third row missed seven songs-long time members-they were pissed!

    they were swearing at eddie-in my ear
    I told them to STFU :lol:

    anyway, the XL center is not the meadows, but get your tix early
    dont miss a note!

    Just show up earlier is not a valid or fair answer. There is no reason for what happened that night other than a fuck up on the venue/10 Club's end. People work and have lives and not everyone can arrive at 3 in the afternoon like some of you. I have showed up at a variety of times to pick up tickets for various shows over the years and have thankfully never had anything like that happen. They generally do a great job with ticket distribution.

    It was definitely the venue. They had only ONE line rather than several broken up by alphabet - and the will call line was confused with the 10C line. It was a disaster. I got there 7-7:30 and missed a good 4 songs. I had to work that day but I have gotten my tix at that time at other places. That venue is a wreck. Even the way they distributed beer bracelets was a nightmare.

    They usually send an email with that info probably in the week leading up to the show.

    I plan on getting to Hartford sometime in the mid-afternoon...hopefully there won't be any problems that early in the day.
