That was the very first time i saw PJ live. I remember the day like it was yesterday. Waterloo Village was jammed and when Eddie climbed the stage rafters all the way to the top, my jaw dropped. It was love ever since! lol
Did anyone else see them during the Lollapalooza '92 tour? What was your best memory of their show?

yup....Stone hitting a security guard on the head with his les paul custom when the guard thought Ed was an audience member and roughed him up when he tried to get back on stage.....and Ed throwing his Chicago Bulls hat to me while he started singing Porch

Yep, saw them on 8/7/92...and 8/8/92 at the "wheat field" in Mansfield.
Memories aren;t too good, but I knew this was the start of something special...
Well, I was blown away at seeing them live, just like hearing Jeremy and Even flow on the radio....0 -
The first time I saw PJ was at Lollapalooza in Denver in July of 92. Memories are a bit of a blur but I will always remember Ed climbing the side part of the stage and not knowing what to think. I knew it was the start of something special with not just PJ, but with seeing live shows in general. Great day all around.0

Cincy, July 1992, first time seeing them. Riverbend Amphitheater. Hot as hell out. They came on at 2:45 p.m. or so, did 8-9 songs and during Porch Eddie came out and climbed part of the support towers for the pavilion roof. Freakin' insane.
I was 14 years old and it was my first concert: Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Ice Cube, Porno for Pyros, RHCP, Ministry (who blew my mind), Cypress Hill and tons of others.0 -
i was at the Molson venue in Ontario, having seen them solo that March... I wish someone had the full set list from that day:
08/05/92 – Molson Park: Barrie, Ontario (Lollapalooza) [45m]
attendance: 30,000
set: (slow song), Even Flow, Jeremy, Alive, Black, Porch (setlist incomplete)
notes: This show was filmed (at least partially) by Much Music. Footage includes interviews with PJ members (mostly Ed; he’s asked if he is a big basketball fan and he responds no … “only about 5 feet 7 inches”
), them playing basketball and part of the show itself. ‘Garden’ was also played; during this song, the band stops playing as there is too much pushing at the front of the stage. Ed says something about watching out for others. “A song ain’t nothin’ compared to a human life.” Chris Cornell sings backing vocals on ‘Jeremy’ from the back of the stage, but there are so many people there that most aren’t aware he’s singing. During ‘Porch,’ Ed scales the scaffolding and dives into the crowd. 37 PJ Shows, 3 EV Shows, 1134 Total Songs, 24 Different Openers, 9 Different Closers, 252 Unique Songs (never enough)0 -
Yep, I was there too. Although I misjudged the distance from the parking lot to the venue and missed PJs first few songs, which I have NEVER forgiven myself for. The band was amazing though. Good times to be sure...ponner1us wrote:Montage Mountain, Scranton, PA. What a day!!!I smile, but who am I kidding...0 -

Blockbuster ampitheatre in Charlotte, NC
Pearl Jam knocked my socks off, with a little bit of help from electric lemonade.
Found $100 bucks coming in, the Jim Rose Circus, Soundgarden in the line up too.
Ahhh the memories.0 -
Remember those days when they played more than five places consistently??? :roll:I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell.

This was my first show too. I remember getting to the front row with my sister and our other friend before PJ went on. As soon as Pearl Jam came on and started playing Evenflow the crowd went nuts! We were all pushed so hard against the barrier that we had to have the security guards pull us out. I remember turning around and seeing Eddie right there. I wish I could have just stood there but then we had to leave under the stage. That was freakin' awesome.-See the waves on distant shores, awaiting your arrival...
