Its Not bad at all. You can private message me and I'll give you the scoop. New arena = new bars and restaurants and lots of cops. The Ironbound has the best Porteguese resturants in the country.

How are lots of cops a good thing? :?
Is Newark like Detroit east?He who forgets will be destined to remember.
9/29/04 Boston, 6/28/08 Mansfield, 8/23/09 Chicago, 5/15/10 Hartford
5/17/10 Boston, 10/15/13 Worcester, 10/16/13 Worcester, 10/25/13 Hartford
8/5/16 Fenway, 8/7/16 Fenway
EV Solo: 6/16/11 Boston, 6/18/11 Hartford,0 -
Not in that area. If you plan on taking a trip to the local streets, you get what you deserve. The cops are there because so many people perceive Detroit, Would you rather they not be there?0

Listen, if you are not afraid of going to MSG where two people were just shot in a Cribs initiation incident two weeks ago, Newark is a breeze.0
-
Newark gets a very bad rap. It's not paradise but the new arena is real fan friendly and easy access from Penn Station. I saw Ed at NJPAC center 2 blocks up the road and it might have been one of the best rock shows I have ever witnessed. See you on the 18th!0

I have been to Newark, I live in Detroit.. I would take my chances with DetroitNone are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe that they are free.

oh what a liar. You should be ashamed of yourself. Although, if you have tickets to MSG, I guess you are brilliant.0

TRIFECTA:
Fernando's for rodizio
McGovern's for Guiness
The Rock for Pearl Jam
...train home to Trenton. Do it all again on Thursday and Friday in MSG.0 -
Now there is a Newark guy. McGovern's is a far walk though.0

See, now that is funny.. I worked in newark for 8 years, it is rough in parts but near the arena there is no worries. I saw Ed at NJPAC and had the time of my life.0 -

nah, you'll be alright. the first couple of trains might be just a bit more crowded than usual, but you have zero to worry about. the path is like the subway, there's one every few minutes and 1130ish pm isn't exactly peak time.i have a paper here that entitles me to fast track status0 -
