  • I like the Avocado album cover. It seems to be much more "doable" than a more complicated design, and it is equally relevant to all band members (whereas a wave design would seem to be more Eddie-centric).

I never saw (or never read) the original idea...just to be clear, are we just being asked to send in a photo of ourselves? Any photo? Or is the photo supposed to say "thank you" in some way?
i didnt really specify... it can be anything... ill post some examples if you wanna see what ive compiled so far from old threads... and as far as the difficulty of the design goes, i dont think itll mater now that weve discovered that program that automatically organizes the pics

  • Just came across something that might be of help.

    A tutorial:
    http://www.engadget.com/2004/10/19/how-to-make-your-own-photo-mosaics/

    Program used in the tutorial:
    http://www.andreaplanet.com/andreamosaic/

You can actually have that program search google.com for pictures to use.. interesting.

The more pictures, the higher overall quality too. Of course than it gets to be really big, but check the detail out in this:

Seems pretty damn easy actually. Coming up with the pictures to use, and the larger theme is the hard part I guess.

EDIT: Came across this wave.. I've never seen it before, I guess this is what EMEK parodied. They're pretty damn similar.

ok... ran into a problem as i was trying out that andreamosaic program for PC... it wont let you save or copy your mosaic once it finishes... so umm thats out... maybe the program for macs works better... if a mac user can confirm you can save with that one then i can do it on a mac at school when i get back... were gonna need a ton of very different photos too for something like that to work...

great idea! a wave would be cool... maybe an oriental style one? like the backdrop they used @ the vic and lolla or on the EMEK poster?

and unrelated ?... is there a program out there that would automatically transfer a collection of photographs into an image? i would think there might be... that would make this project real easy!

about the program i will try to find out... my computer science's teacher told me there's is a program U ask, but it's not shareware or freeware...i promise,i will find out :)
