    or is the focus the deficit? I don't watch the news or read anything about current events so I don't know...

    Actually this is the first year I OWE taxes.

    Actually this is the first year I OWE taxes.

    Owing sucks.

    I'm quite satisfied with my return, higher than I expected actually........

    What's the point in discussing whether people got money back or owe? It's all dependent on how much you earn, your claims, what you claim throughout the year (status and with-holdings). No two people's are alike.

    I agree, its not like scratching off a lottery ticket and seeing wheter you win or not......

    And why exactly are people happy when they get a huge refund? All that means is you gave the US Government a 1 year interest free loan on your $. ;)

    Things have really gotten out of hand in this country when even plants are being labeled as right, moderate , or leftist. What's next -- fruit ??

    I actually enjoyed the first one I attended last year. I am neither a left or right, but a constitutionalist..You must have an open mind..

    Just Got back from the Tea Party myself......how did it go and what did you think?...there were no problems here in the Sunshine State :D

    It was pretty cool, nothing unusual happened. Lots of people were there considering the city population. No sign misspellings were seen, sorry to disappoint some of you.

    One thing is the speakers were really fired up complaining about Obama and this Congress. I think they were really trying to rev up the crowd but there were many there that were really old. I wasn't expecting how much energy the speakers had.

    I'd go again and it really was worth it considering I convinced a Palin supporter that she was not the answer.

    I don't remember hearing or seeing anything about socialism.

    The biggest reference to health care was they played a soundbyte from a Rep that voted for it. The interviewer asked why she would vote for something that makes people purchase it or else be fined. If they refuse to pay the fine they could face five years behind bars. The Rep started laughing but admitted that language was in the bill.

    I managed to convince a Palin supporter to become a former Palin supporter!

    Many people complimented me on my Ron Paul for President 2008 shirt.

    All in all it was pretty neat, no violence, no people in white sheets, mostly old people, and many Libertarians there.
