    I wonder if I have taken that red pill. Wouldn't this thread be moved to the Given to Fly section of 10club's community board? Does this have anything to do with Pearl Jam related music, tour, appearances? It's about a request for a non Pearl Jam song. What type or kind of Pearl Jam fan goes to a show or posts on the main Pearl Jam forum & requests the band (Pearl Jam) to play a cover song for them @ a Pearl Jam show? Request for a Pearl Jam song that hasn't been played in year's or hasn't been played, EVER live! Something you would like to see played, by your favorite band, Pearl Jam, that they wrote the lyrics & song too!

    I'm shocked that this thread is still here on the main page. :|

It took over a few months to move the "euro tour 2010" to the Given to Fly section, then it took a few weeks to get that "why now u dont bitching" thread to All Encompassing Trip.     if the mods start to move all the threads to the right place,then they need like 10 years to do all..
    all the bitching threads are in porch,all tix search for tour are in porch,all request song for tour is in porch,even which hotel ill stay in new york ,or where to eat in boston is in porch..and where are the single ladies are in porch..all cos people pay attention more in porch so the OP put it in porch for more to read..

It does not deal with Pearl Jam. There is no Pearl Jam member in the Lynard Skynard band. Pearl Jam has not released a 9 minute plus cover of this song on CD or even 8-track tape. Request for songs for Pearl Jam's tour that is RELEATED TO PEARL JAM goes in the Porch. Pearl Jam & Pearl Jam related stuff goes in the Porch section.

    I'm just confused as to why this garbage is still around. I live & breathe the Pearl Jam but hate it when i'm at work or at home checking my daily dose of Pearl Jam online and i'm seeing Lynard Skynard crap come up first on the main Pearl Jam porch page. Doesn't make any sense at all & it boggles the mind. If it's a Pearl Jam song, go nuts. It's a Pearl Jam releated song, go nuts. If it's not a Pearl Jam song & I keep seeing this crap each day on the front page, it's like "where the fuck am i?" Is this Pearl Jam & 10club or the Lynard Skynard fan club?

    Ok, firstly I'm not apologizing anyone but to Dimitris for starting this in the first place putting him in the position of being a mod for the thread. I'm certainly not going to apologise for starting a thread set out in the best intentions for a genuine nice guy. Demitrious back in the second page of this you left a very nice post in full support of this so you've only added fuel to the fire really. If you can take a look at the world around you and be shocked over something so light hearted when there's so much real tragedy and travesty around us then I think you're taking this a bit too seriously. I doubt there would be so much fuss if this was for Crazy Mary, Sonic Reducer etc and I don't see any fuss made over the Harvest Moon thread. I know you can respond by saying PJ have played these already but they certainly weren't PJ related before then. I'm as big a fan as anyone and I get pissed off at seeing certain threads too but as Dimitris pointed out you only need look at the Porch every day to see how many unrelated threads exist that never get complained about. You all know what this thread is about, don't read it again if you don't like it but it is PJ related because it's them I've requested to play it and for a big fan of the band and might I add, all for a bit of fun. I said it already and I make no apologies, Pearl Jam please play Freebird for our friend Dimitris. Have a good day friends because we're all friends here, right? :D

    You continue to miss the main point here - that Pearl Jam has NEVER covered Freebird. Each of the songs you mentioned above have been covered numerous times by the band, dating back many years. You are not comparing apples to apples...

    At what point is it ok to start self policing the forums? I don't believe I've missed the point here at all. I have listened to every PJ show I can get my hands on and am well aware that Freebird has never been covered. It may be unrelated to the band indeed but it is a request for them to play it at one of their shows for one of their fans, not for another band to play it so it belongs on a PJ forum in whatever area the mods decide to leave it and I thank them for leaving it where it is. I think the people missing my point need to learn to lighten up a bit, I get your point now so get mine too. It's not hurting anyone and if you keep bumping it to the front page I'm not going to complain because this his become much bigger than you needed to make it. It's only a song request. Turn those :cry:'s back into :D's Love you guys x
