what are you talking about? PJ boots?
in which case there's 2 different ones: Paris and Marseille
Marseille has the best setlist of the leg..though the performance is a bit messy (I don't mind that but some people do).
Paris...it's not bad..tainted memory for me because the pit was a bitch..bit like Pistoia or Barcelona
  • just dloaded Marseille. awesome show so far.

  • Both are awesome. Marseille is a slightly better show in my eyes and ears. While it may not be as tight as Paris, which is extremely tight, its more fun to listen to.
My first PJ show to witness was at Bonnaroo. How is that for lucky?
  • you can dload the Bern show too with one of the best version of Jeremy!!
    1996: Zürich - 2000: Zürich - 2006: Marseille, Paris & Berne
  • Just looked at the setlist for this show and while it's quite good I have to say the absence of Binaural and Riot Act is troubling.

I remember leaving the Marseilles show thinking it was special, due to the setlist. It had an experimental vibe to it. Really good version of Black too.

I like both boots. Marseille because of the good setlsi (eg long road as opener) and Paris because I was there
    2006: Antwerp, Paris
    2007: Copenhagen, Werchter
    2009: Rotterdam, London
    2010: MSG, Arras, Werchter
    2012: Amsterdam, Prague, Berlin
    2014: Amsterdam, Stockholm

Agree.. They really nailed a couple songs in Paris
    Paris, France 11/9 2006
    Copenhagen, Denmark 26/6 2007
    Stockholm, Sweden 7/7 2012
    Solna, Sweden 28/6 2014
  • It's worth it.
In my opinion, ANY PJ boot is worth the space
    on your computer...
And the shows in '06. were pretty amazing :)

  • Paris 06 is one of the very best Europe 06 boots...Sound is great on the boot, and its an interesting setlist. Lots of Riot Act in the main set (Save You & Thumbing My Way are awesome)..Amazing versions of Black, RVM, Betterman as well.

2nd Encore is abit standard (Evolution, RITFW, YL) but hey ho...

They are tight as f*ck this night...

Marseille, yes interesting setlist but pretty sloppy show + annoying people chanting E.D.D.I.E between every song...

    Get Paris..

I agree with this. I was at both shows. I have the 2 bootlegs.
Both are very complementary ! Both are good.

    get the 2 !!!!!
    :)

Still waiting for a gig in Paris (in a venue not a festival) since 2006...
    Spin, spin !!

    Marseille + Paris 2006
    London + Werchter 2007
    Arras + Belfast 2010
    Arras 2012
    Paris Lollapalooza 2022
  • I was at Paris, and the crowd was a bitch, like Pegasus said. I remember enjoying the show but not being blown away compared to how amazing they were in Lisboa the previous week.

But i've since listened to the bootleg many times and it's a much better show than i remember. Marseille's setlist is great but the performance is sub-par and it isn't memorable to listen to in my opinion. But the band is really tight in Paris and they nail certain songs such as Thumbing My Way, Half Full, Black, Rockin'...etc. Animal is pretty fierce too, quite a powerful version.

I'd recommend Paris, not because i'm biased but because it flows better and the band sounds better.

I find it funny that some think that when the band isnt as tight in 2006 its not a good performance, but shows from 2003 were twice as sloppy and they didnt even have good energy...people seem to love those! Marseille and Paris are both awesome shows. Its just a matter of what you want in your show.

Although I do agree Paris is tighter, but not better. If Im making Paris sound bad, I dont mean to. Its really incredible, but I just have a soft spot for the Marseille show.

I don't really enjoy most of the 2003 bootlegs because the band is quite sloppy and there seems to be a lack of energy. That's not every show, but definitely most of them. I understand why people rave about them, because most of the setlists are pretty groovy, but i'm looking for energy and a flawless performance. I can't listen to Marseille that much because i think Eddie sounds really off and it ruins the songs. That's just my opinion though, if you have a soft spot for it then that's great! :)

Cool. Finally I found someone who agrees with me on the 2003 boots. I love you. Most people rave on and on about the 2003 boots. I dont even like the setlists that much and they sound pretty crappy. I do understand where youre coming from about Marseille.

seriously, you have a tiny HDD. One PJ Boot in mp3 is not going to save you a lot of space. Erase some of your porn instead !!!

Or just write it in your CD...!!!

    hehe, i love you too!
Don't get me wrong, there's a couple of 2003 shows that are stellar, especially Nashville, Kansas and Holmdel...but all in all i find the others fairly underwhelming.
