I never got to finish that one..sorry, but what I was going to finish with is that i would NOT drive to other venues if there were a tour in my neighborhood...take for example Chicago 09...Ive been to the United Center for a concert during a "full" tour and I was light years further in front then I was last year....I guess when they announce a show here and a show there that we, as die hards as we are, will be willing to travel to see a great concert.

Agreed.But so far..I cant get a ticket.I GOT SHIT...LOL...I will try for tix on sat for MSG 1.I cant go to MSG 2,its my twins 9th birthday..so thats out.Hartford goes on sale friday..I guess Ill try for both.... :?

i am just glad to be able to go. No one comes within 4 hours of my hometown. I have traveled 5 1/2 hrs to Columbia, SC, 10 hrs to Philadelphia and now 6 1/2 to Bristow. I am just glad to have the chance to see them. So what if they are not in my neighborhood, boo hoo, quit whining. Be glad you even get to be in the same room and jam with them live. That is what it is all about.

I can't wait to see them again. Wish they'd stop in MI, but OH is close enough for me. Better than taking another long trip to Chicago.

Hey fellow PJers. I usually post on redmosquito, but wanted to share my ticket buying experience with everyone. I have been a continuous TenClub member since 2002. This time around I was able to get tickets for both Boston and Hartford. It took 20 minutes and 9 minutes respectively.

Although it wasn't easy, I did not have nearly as stressful an experience as some people have said. The key, as some other posters have mentioned, is to be patient. Only click ONCE when making a selection. Also, the refresh button is your best friend. I had put my CC info in and got kicked to the "can not find page" internet explorer error page a couple of times, but just calmly clicked "refresh" and it brought me back to the last screen.

I read the other day that there was a huge bust of a scalping ring that were hording tickets from ticketmaster for big name bands like Phish and Pearl Jam. Hopefully this will help everyone get tix from the public sales. Good luck everyone who hasn't gotten their tix yet!

I see that for the NYC shows, Ticketmaster has listed a fan club pre sale that takes place this Friday starting at noon. Anyone know what this is about? A second chance for fan club members?

I think I bought tickets. I went for the Boston show and logged in right at 12ET. However, after that the site stalled and I feverishly tried to refresh. Somehow I ended up with tickets in my cart. It took about twenty minutes to check out though due to web traffic. I received an email confirming my purchase but haven't heard anything since. I have no idea where my seats are, or anything. Is this normal? In the case that I did get seats, does anyone know how the seats are for TD BankNorth shows?

For anyone who is frustrated with the ordering process, I completely agree. There has to be a better way.

Hey Everyone...Ticketmaster sales start tomorrow at noon for the (2) NYC shows at the Garden. Unfortunately, my Pearl Jam accomplice is out of town that weekend.

I was wondering if anyone knows what the seating is going to be like for the shows? I'm trying to decide if we can take my little boy with us to St. Louis, but I'm not sure how a kid would do if we are lucky enough to get floor seats and they happen to be general admission. (How awesome would it be if he could say his first concert was Pearl Jam?) Any thoughts would be very helpful, thank you!

Ticketmaster says there is a pre-sale starting at 2pm on friday.But with that,you will need a code or password.Anyone know anymore onfo bout that ??..hold on......just got an email from the 10 club... :idea: ..this must b the answer to my question.....

I tried for almost 7 hours straight on Tues to get tickets for the NYC. No luck. I reached the BUY page about 6 times total and each time I was booted out. Very disaapointed. I have been a 10c member for over 10 years and that should count for something.

When MSG II went onsale I was flying home from Maui so I was in the airport using the airport Internet, which totally sucked. My friend in NJ who would go with me to the show was also trying, no joy there either. It cost me $10 to use OGG Internet only to be shutout. So yes I'm sad, but I'm not bitter. It just wasn't meant to be.

NYC is a "destination event" whereas people from all over the globe descend upon the Garden for PJ. If you're going to travel thousands of miles to see your band (cause your band won't come see you!) then it's better if its a destination that you actually want to see before and after the concert. This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone as it happens everytime they play NYC. I was shut out night 1 in 2008, but got lucky for night 2. Unfortunately this year I only have one vacation day to spare so 5/21 is my only option.

I'll be trying again tomorrow, but I'm not sure I'll spend the $$$ to fly if I can't get decent seats. I'll be watching the public onsale too, hoping for an MSG night 3. it could happen!

btw, longtime U2 member who gets first dibs on tickets for their tours but is now too old to go for the reasonably priced GA tix on the floor. For their last tour when I logged in and found that the closest seats to the stage were $250 EACH (!!!) I nearly puked. I bought the next closest seats, which came to about $190 with TM fees but I ended up selling them out of disgust for the band's greed and the fact that their previous U2 show I'd seen felt phoned in. I'm considering letting that membership lapse, but I'll keep my 10C membership regardless of this MSG debacle.

I'm guessing this is a first for you, 10Club sale that is. If you want to know where you will be sitting your only option is the Ticketmaster public on sale. If you want to take a chance that the fan club seats will be better than TM then buy through 10C (if it's still available). If your 10C # is high you might be better off with TM anyway.
