Just read the middle paragraph....

Widespread Panic will now close out the 7th annual Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival on Sunday, June 15. Perhaps the festival's longest standing veteran, Widespread Panic has performed on Bonnaroo's main stage in 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2007. While Widespread Panic was on hiatus, keyboardist JoJo Hermann and drummer Todd Nance both performed at the festival in 2004. The group was brought on as one of the festival's marquee jam acts after the Allman Brother Band officially canceled its performance earlier this week. The group's powerful, two-set Bonnaroo performances are known both for their energy and varied special guests. Over the years the group has welcomed Steve Winwood, Herbie Hancock, Bob Weir, Warren Haynes, Robert Randolph, Luther and Cody Dickinson, Galactic's Stanton Moore, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Dottie Peoples and the People's Choice Choir to the stage while performing at Bonnaroo.

In addition, Jack Johnson has chosen to join his friends Pearl Jam on the main stage Saturday, June 14, stepping into the slot vacated by the Allman Brothers. Johnson will perform an extended set beginning at sunset, shortly before Pearl Jam close out the day's main stage festivities. Johnson is close friends with the Peal Jam camp and jammed with Eddie Vedder at his Kokua Festival in April, 2007. Many fans also speculate that Johnson will join Pearl Jam onstage during their headlining set.

Bonnaroo has also confirmed a handful of new acts, including Les Claypool, who performed at Bonnaroo each year from 2002-2006. Other new additions include Jurassic 5's Chali 2na, Superdrag, What Made Milwaukee Famous, Adele, Grand Ole Party and The Postelles.

I think this is awesome news! I was a fan of Jack Johnson and at one of his shows about 4 years ago I got to meet him. I was a friend of a friend and Jack just walked up and hugged me and started talking. That made me love his work even more, knowing that it is completely real.

ps - I'm excited for these guys too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoUDjFMgUKM They aren't even old enough to drink! They played the same stage as a band I was working for a SXSW. Great guys, amazing musicians, so young!

Since the Allman Brothers Band is out, I'm pretty happy with the way things worked out. I really don't care for Widespread Panic. I was worried that I would have to sit through their set before Pearl Jam. Now I get to see Jack Johnson before Pearl Jam, and I'm sure Eddie will come out with him and play a few songs before Pearl Jam hits the stage. I can just go back to my tent and party during Widespread Panic on Sunday night.

Edit: Also, I'm really happy Les Claypool was added.

no offense to WP- i think theyre really good. but everyone was saying Zep or Clapton and what roo got was a band that plays there every year and then they decided to put an okay artist before PJ.

I am sooooo happy about Les Claypool. That is the add on I have been waiting for!

As for WSP, OK. I'm more excited about JJ doing the show before PJ. I think this announcement rocks.
People were expecting more, but I am completely satisfied.

Saturday night is going to be f'n HUGE for me. I better eat my Wheaties, then some.

I will do anything to try and sleep in Saturday in the AM. Anyone have a portable AC I can borrow? Hahahehe!
Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!

Stoked about Les Claypole. I've seen him six times, three with Primus and three LC & TFFB . An absofuckinglutely sick bassist. Only The Ox and Stanley Clarke rate higher on my list of great bassists.

Frankly Scarlet, I could give a damn about WSP. Have listened to them on several occasions, but never my cup of tea.

JJ is a great add for Saturday. I was looking forward to Jack Johnson's set anyway, but even more now.

I can say I feel too bad about my tickets. I'm glad the announcement wasn't that huge.

I was hoping for something else, but I do love that JJ is now playing on Saturday. I have a feeling that a lot of people may now leave early on Sunday afternoon, which should make a nice exit on Monday morning

god I hope Jack Johnson doesn't come and ruin Pearl Jam's set. Although, having him open will make appear to kick even more ass than normal because everyone will be asleep.
