Saw Lou Ferrigno eating in a restaurant when I was about 8 years old. And I walked past Billy Connolly on the street one time when he was in town doing a show.

John Mayer backstage last Saturday at his show in DC. I was introduced to him by my friend Michael Franti. He was cool with some beautiful women near his dress room.

I am more impressed that Michael Franti is your friend! I have been to see him a few times. He has a pretty good fan base in the area where I live.

At one point (I swear this is true - you can't make this shit up) Flava Flav said to me "Do you know what time it is"? - I found this reaaly funny - because I think "Do you know what time it is" was a name of one of his songs.

I responded by saying "yes, Mr. Flav, going by the time on the GIGANTIC CLOCK around your neck, it is 3:15. Maybe you should have set your alarm on that clock, and we wouldn't be in this mess"

Most his entourage started killing themselves laughing, and one guy even said "Flav - you just got owned by that white boy". Then they all left.

Swear to God - True story

    That is absolutely hysterical. :D

I met Mike Huckabee at this party/gathering thing. I had a pretty nice conversation with him. He was making everyone there this drink he liked to have, which was I think about 2/3 chocolate soymilk and 1/3 root beer. It was pretty good actually.
I don't know if that counts or not...

I think my favourite part of this whole thing is 'Mr. Flav'... But that's freaking hysterical.
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V
  • Well it was anything but random (had VIP passes), but I met both Matt and Boom at the Toronto '05 show. I actually got to talk to Matt for quite a while, which was awesome. And Boom CAN talk, I confirmed it personally. :D
Also met Liam Finn at Massey Hall before one of the Ed solo shows. He was a really nice guy.
I've also met quite a few big names in equestrian sports, but my family goes way back in the horse business. Not so thrilling when they're family friends. Plus, I wouldn't really call them celebrities, haha.

Is that city San Francisco? I'm a moderator on his website and I posted this shortened review on there.....

What a great show here in DC. Michael rocked the house of 15,000+ people. He was able to squeeze in 11 songs, worked the crowd like he has never done before. He touched many that have never seen a musician/performer come out into the front rows to the left side to the right side audience far up the first deck. I had many J Mayer fans come up to me asking who is that guy again because they were loving what they were seeing and hearing.

The exposure from this tour is going to produce bigger and better things for the band. They certainly said as much backstage as we caught up on things from the past.

We were able to catch on quite a few things since we've not had a chance to talk in the past year. They'll be back here in May headling one of the larger outdoor venues (instead of clubs) in Virginia with a new album to follow in the summer.

Kevin Duckworth (Portland Trail Blazers) used to live in a giant house that actually shared the driveway with my grade school. He would come over for our assemblies once in a while. BIG dude, and very cool.

I also saw Tom Skerritt at a gas station.

Years ago I saw Don Rickles at an airport (can't remember which one) as he was being driven around the terminal in a golf cart.

I saw Nicole Kidman at the 2nd U2 show in Giants Stadium last September - we were walking through the tunnel onto the field and ended up behind her. She is thin and very tall. During the show she hung out at the sound board.

oh! and duh, the most random sighting was Mike McCready on the day of the second Camden show in 2008. I was sitting on a bench behind Independence Hall in Philly, taking in the sights. I see Mike, a young toddler aged girl and two women (not familiar with Mike's personal life at all so I am assuming his daughter, wife & nanny???) walk into the park. They spent about 30-45 minutes there - at times with Mike on the grass playing with the little girl and taking pictures, etc. Just as they were beginning to leave, someone finally recognized him.
