Any of you use Guitar Pro 5? Is it worth the $$?

    It's a pretty cool program. It's worth the money if you're patient and are serious about writing music. (playing around with it is fun too). It's a good thing to have- but you need to spend a good amount of time on it to write a song or arrangement.... in other words, yes I think it's worth the money!

    Do NOT BUY guitar pro!!!! You can download a FREe program called tuxguitar. Guitar pro only allows you to open gp files only and costs mney. Tuxguitar is FREE and allows you to open BOTH gp and powertab files.

    you can open both with guitar pro and to me there is a reason you have to pay for it

    I ended up purchasing it. So, far I like it, but I am not sure I am completely sold yet. I need to play around with it a bit more.
