    Where were they playing? I've seen them twice. Brilliant live band.

    Wow - you mean there's actually another fan of this amazing band here?? ;)

    They are so unbelievably talented and so very,very underrated.
    They played some small shows around the U.S. & Canada - first time back in NA in 10 years.
    We saw them last Sunday here in Toronto at the Phoenix - holds about 1,300. Seemed like 13,000.

    What an absolutely magical night - to hear some of Richey's words brought to life by James,Nickey and
    Sean nearly brought tears to my eyes.

    If you are a fan of music at all, you really,really need to see the Manics.

    I saw them for the first time in '93 with Richey ... great band.
    So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?

    love these guys, was my first proper gig seeing them and have seen them whenever i can. Sad i missed the last tour over here due to exams :(

    Manis Street Preachers are too good for our times...
    I've been their fan for 12 years and I still can't believe they played their only show in Hungary while I was away in Berlin for Pearl Jam :shock: :o

    Saw them in '98, my brother saw them earlier when Richey was in the band. I wish I would have gone with him.

    Gold against the soul and Holy Bible are my 2 fave albums, they were released close together but are very different in some ways. Shows how diverse a sound they produced.

    Yes GATS is probably my favourite album or Everything Must Go. Even though Motorcycle Emptiness is probably my favourite song.

    Certainly one of my favourite bands. Seen them play live so many times.
    James Dean Bradfield one of the most under-rated singers/guitarist around in my opinion.

    Journal for Plague Lovers from last year was an awesome album. Brought back memories of their 90s masterpiece, The Holy Bible.

    Great lyrics, great musicianship, great vocals, great band.

Many people have been on the ride a long time, and they begin to wonder, "Hey, is this real, or is this just a ride?" And other people have remembered, and they come back to us and say, "Hey, don't worry; don't be afraid, ever. Because this is just a ride." And we...kill those people. "Shut him up! I've got a lot invested in this ride, shut him up! Look at my furrows of worry, look at my big bank account, and my family. This has to be real." It's just a ride. But we always kill the good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok? But it doesn't matter, because it's just a ride. And we can change it any time we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings of money. Just a simple choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love instead see all of us as one. Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace.

    I got The Holy Bible. WOW!!! I'm only on the 8th track and I can't believe what I am hearing!!! I can't believe I missed hearing about this band years ago!! What was I doing in the 1990's???
