Yes/No Riddles - Part 2

Okay, so the rules are pretty simple. You have to figure it out by only asking questions that can be answered with yes/no. There's no limit to how many questions can be asked.

Here goes:

A man lives on the 50th floor of an apartment building. Each day he takes the elevator down to the 1st floor, and goes to work. When he comes home he takes the elevator to the 25th floor, and walks up the stairs the rest of the way, unless it's a rainy day, in which case he takes the elevator all the way to the 50th floor.

Why?

Update: Neilybabes86 guessed the correct answer.
The man is a midget and can only reach the 50th floor button with his umbrella on rainy days!

Questions asked so far:

He needs the exercise, but his arthritic knee doesn't work well on rainy days? No
Is the stairway inside the building? Yes
Is he too short to reach the buttons? Yes

    All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

    They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all
