Witten is not the best TE in the league. Check how many offsides penalties he's taken this year, and he was the key to our first two losses under Romo and Phillips (stopped at the 2 instead of the 1 against Seattle and doesn't get out of bounds against the giants costing us our last Time out). Bennett blocks and catches I'd be happy with him and the new dude. Most fans and owners love their white guys though...so I doubt Romo's BFF will be gone.

Also whats race got to do with anything here? Bottom line Witten catches damn near anything thrown to him, always seems to get open, is an above average blocker, now does he make mistakes, of course, he is human :? :? :? .this team has holes, all teams has holes, they have a whole lot less than they did a year ago. I would like to see them shore up the other wr position, but not with Marshall, lets draft one.

    Witten's numbers....Yeah, he's terrrrrrible.

The actual Dallas Cowboys fanbase is requesting you turn in your Bandwagon Card.

Oh, and nice racial comment. You stay classy, brotha.
I didn't say he was terrible...I said that his mistakes get overlooked because he catches the ball a lot. You can call me a lot of things, but I'm not bandwagon. If you need me to send you my Tony Dorsett jersey, and my White and White (Danny and Randy) poster then fine. I root for this team as hard as anyone else, I just don't love witten like most Cowboys fans do. He screwed up in both of our playoff losses in 07 an 08 and everyone wants to blame romo, parcells, and phillips. The racial comment is true fans and owners love a seemingly hard working white player unconditionally (for Dallas see: Bill Bates, "Moose" Johnston, and Jason Witten), but its not just in Dallas (see New England: Wes Welker, Baltimore: Todd Heap, and so on).

Yeah, send me that stuff so I can go A) burn it and B) see where on ebay you purchased them. A Cowboys AND Red Sox fan from Anywhere USA. You keep fightin the good fight, bud.

Now, is there any actual Dallas fans in here? Carry on....

Sounds like you and TO were hanging out this weekend.
TO was right...he was just getting too old to do anything about it.
Holy fuck, siding with TO, now I've read it all, you're obviously not a Cowboy fan.

Dude I'm not a Red Sox fan...that was for my Grandparent in-laws 80th birthday party. They live in Boston, and my in-laws got us a special trip to Fenway where they gave us hats and shit. I wish Solat13, G under P, or Jimed see the post where I got called a Red Sox fan...haha. I wrote a motherfucking dissertation on why and how Red Sox fans are racist for god sakes.

You are un fuckin believable, all those player you mentioned deserved to be on the field. Fans and owners love hard working black players as well, Miles Austin-undrafted, Barber-3rd round, Choice-5th round, Ratliff-7th round. Race has nothing to do with whether Witten his the starting TE.

  • any team that relies on their Tight End so much is in trouble, but thats not Witten's fault. its Romo's and Phillip's and William's fault.

Because TO destroys locker rooms, ask San Francisco, Philadelphia and the current Cowboy players and this team was a mess at the end of last year because of TO's me first f the team attitude. It took this team 2/3 of the year to play like a team consistently. I can't compare his numbers to Witten's, Witten his a TE and TO is receiver and of course TO will have better numbers, of course TO has better numbers than Irvin, who would you want, I know who I want, the playmaker.

The point is that yes they deserve to be on the field, but there are no "Mooooooose" or "Heeeeeeap" chants for Miles Austin. In fact what black player in the NFL has a chant like that when he gets the ball? Why is this? It's b/c many fans still adhere to the idea that skin color has an effect on an individuals athletic ability when all research states that idea is untrue. So people chant for those players b/c they think they have to work harder than the "naturally" athletic black athlete. Witten is a fine athlete, I just don't think he's as good as Cowboys fans think he is, and I'd rather have Marshall, Austin, Crayton, Bennett, and Phillips (I think that's the 3rd TE). I don't think that's ridiculous or unbelieveable.

All I'm saying is that it would be cool to get an established receiver, rather than wait 3-4 years to develop a rookie. This team has been built by strong drafts, and development of players, but they clearly need a double team inducing WR to move to the top. That's a madden strategy for sure (get 6 foot 3 WR that runs like the wind and a qb with a laser rocket arm)...currently we have neither haha.

Yeah, and that dude with the face lift up in the owner's box likes to play GM and got your supposed 6'3" stud receiver.

that actually is a tough question....TO if I needed to win one game, or win in one season, Irvin for several seasons.

Deuce McCallister was a black man who succeeded at Ole Miss so he's clearly a one in a million individual. You really think that the white ballhandling players are treated the same by the fans? Mark Chmura, Jason Sehorn, Moose Johnston, and so on? That's what my point was.
