You know that local philly DJ that supports the band as much as we do?

He seems to believe the delay in the philly boot release will be worth the wait... He's mentioning box set and Halloween DVD. He quoted an anonymous source.

Now me.. I don't know anything.. ;)

Just wetting the appetite...

But we'll see.

Peace

you must be talking of matt cord of wmmr.i didn't hear what he said, but he's close to the band, and well connected and respected.he was the first to say pearl jam was closing the spectrum.and the first to say there would be 2 more shows.if he said it i would bet that it's true.

Well if he's saying all this then someone should stop telling him secrets...he's not too good at keeping them.

Don't forget that the Benaroya Hall show on Oct 22, 2003 wasn't officially released on CD or Vinyl until June of 2004. that's 8 months. Hopefully it won't take that long but you never know. It's been 2 or so months already.

Yah, no one knows why they do things they way they do. Mum's the word if you're a PJ fan. Doesn't make any sense to me, but perhaps if we were ever told anything, something might make sense.

Just gimme some truth! We can handle the truth! ;)

I gave up on checking daily for these updates about a month ago.

    While box sets are nice
Id rather just have FLAC downloads and separate DVDs for each show.

I'll probably get ripped for saying this but the lack of information on the Philly boots is ridiculous. When you put on your website that boots will be available for shows a few weeks after the show and 2 months later not one snippet of word on what they are doing with these shows is ridiculous in my opinion. I'm not looking for full-on information but would a one line comment from 10C about these boots/shows really hurt? I've never understood the complete utter lack of information the band and 10C gives us.

i agree that Night 3 was the best of the run. but if there is going to be a DVD it obviously HAS to be Night 4....last night of the spectrum..halloween..it just makes sense.

im really hoping for behind the scenes footage. like the soundcheck Ed talked about when the light was shining through the concourse and into the arena. and footage of the guys exploring Philly. maybe tie in the world series to the DVD! the possibilities are endless i hope they dont sells us short! but il be grateful for whatever they give us

I don't know why people feel like they are owed some special release for these shows? The Gorge boxset was a fine package and I'd be delighted with something like that but just run of the mill boots would keep me happy. I've listened to a couple of the shows and they sounded great so to hear them in better quality is something to look forward to itself. As for a dvd, yeah bring that on too but I'd rather see a highlights dvd similar to TB2000 but from the Aus/NZ shows with maybe a few nice behind the scenes bits and pieces. I've got plenty official and unofficial footage from the US so maybe it's time to spread the love worldwide and give some other fans a chance to see themselves on screen. The whole Philly subject has become a bit of a joke to me and the threads posted are too many to count. I'd love to have been there every night and they'll go down as legendary shows I'm sure but they only out rank some of of the other classics by setlist, not performance.

Yeah sure enough and it's ok to talk of legendary shows but all I'm saying is PJ don't owe anything special to anyone. They already gave enough over 4 nights and don't need to constantly reward us. The forums got a little congested about the boots and even though talk of tour dates changed that for a bit the bitching about the delay started again once the excitement died down. Patience is rewarded and we're spoiled enough already. I've watched hours of youtube footage from all 4 shows and I'm not anymore envious than after watching LA, Chicago, London or anywhere else. PJ are always classic.

ya i understand what you are saying.

but it is not as if we (as a fanbase) are demanding that a DVD and boxset of boots be released for this show. Its been made clear that it is happening. there were professional cameras littered all over the spectrum through the run so it was known at the time of the shows that something "special" was in the works. I, for one, am just excited about what we will be made available to us. im not demanding something that is out of the question and not happening. like Dave A coming back to replace Matt when he plays with SG
