    As long as they don't rip Matt away from Pearl Jam. But wow, he's going to be tired...unless he doesn't play for Pearl Jam...which means that the band won't tour for part of the year...possibly meaning they won't do a North American tour...which also means I won't get a chance to see them coming to Ohio...which means it will be since Bonnaroo that I saw them....oh God...I'm hyperventilating!

    This confuses me....there's no mention of "reunion" in that tweet....I think it's just hype for a box set....

    of course, if it IS a renion - that would be most cool!

    It's a reunion. "The 12 Year Break Is Over and School is Back in Session." Soundgarden were apart for over 12 and a half years. They're back together. They would just say "Soundgarden box set is coming" if that's all it was. THEY'RE BACK.

    if matt left pearl jam to be in soundgarden again that'd be the most retarded thing ever. besides, soundgarden only really needs cornell and thayil to make it sound like soundgarden. no, they don't even need that lurch ben shepard. maybe that dorky bassist from weezer can play with soundgarden.

    hopefully matt reflects on these fools and their beneficial migrations as an example:

    scott weiland
    slash (even though buckethead is 1000000 times better)
    everyone from "army of anyone"
    everyone from "chickenfoot"

    all of the above migrations led to some type of downfall in music, and at 9AM EST i'm probably missing some other boneheads.

    No way. I think Matt is just as responsible for the "Soundgarden sound" as Thayill is. But I get your point that a band's rhythm section is much easier to replace than a guitarist or singer.
