a few question for Bonnaroo Vets

how hard is it to carry some self medicating substances into your packs. they say only water but what if i want to bring an alcoholic beverage??

    They tend to look for the obvious alcoholic beverages but they do tend to overlook the well hidden little nuggets.Hint hint. ;)

    its hit or miss; some guards search more thoroughly than others. I just usually pack whatever I want to sneak in at the bottom (wrapped in a t-shirt of something so it cant be felt from the outside) and then put a blanket/and or a bunch of shit over it. They cant possibly check everybody that well.

    Are you talking about for the camp part or for the concert part?

    For the camping area they let you bring alcohol as long as it's in cans not bottles. As far the concert area they do the pat down and the searching of the bags. It is pretty dependent on the guard but I was able to get a couple of things past the pat down inspection. Of course they were smaller and eaiser to swallow then alcohol would be if I got pinched 8-) .

    canteen...then carry a bottle of pop/soda....they'll probably take the bottle and not look twice at the canteen.

    i always just stuffed everything in my sock, yes, everything, recklessly and in front of them sometimes, for the most part dont bring weapons or opened water bottles

    thanks for the feedback. cant wait for some headlining annoucements. out of curiosity, what if i get caught with alcohol. what happens? do they just take it? oh and one other thing. no alcohol rule? is it in place because it is strictly off limits or they have their own vendors selling alcohol.??

    They just take it away....and there are vendors inside....I assume thats why. It's only at the arch that they check....not the campground obviously.
