    now that's funny...I can just picture d2d in her 80's, boring the shit out of some poor kid with an album of christmas tree photos dating back a half century :P
    Nice tree as always dreams....:)
    Mine is kinda messed this year...it's a fake fiber-optic...I recently moved and couldn't find the base or power chord...so I set it up with a base for a real tree, and a power supply out of my extra/junk cable box. Hopefully I don't burn the place down. As I was setting up, the bulb burned out...so I put string lights on it. If I replace the bulb, the thing should light up the whole bloody 'hood. I'll see if i can get some pics up this week...

    Trees can't help but kinda look the same if you use the same ornaments (as i do!!) When I look back on the years of pics MINE just seem to look the same! :D -- Maybe I should buy a pink tree!

    and hey, yea...i know what you mean....all in good fun!
    the biggest changed have been when i changed garlands and tree-topper, otherwise...it's simply looking at the slightly different tree shapes/sizes, tho i have to say - in person anyway ;) - it IS a VERY noticeable difference this year. definitely the nicest/biggest tree we've ever gotten! b/c sure, as much as i try to mix it up with the ornaments, they ARE all the same, year to year. so it goes. however, i still LOVE it, b/c it's only all up a few weeks each year.

    (btw - when you use a fake tree, of course it always looks the same. it is. ;))

    btw - on my walk home from the train last night, i saw thru the window in one of the houses i pass by, a big, WHITE christmas tree. i've seen em in stores, but never actually saw one in someone's house. :D

    I'll have to take a photo at night. At least the decorations are finally on the damn thing.

    And this is the top of the tree - when my husband and I first got together we were totally poor and we made a lot of our decorations - he did the tree topper out of a Coke can. And we still make cardboard star ornaments every year - that would be our man Mike to the left of the Help ornament.

    I'll have to take a better picture of that one, too.

    This is our tree from last year. We didn't put one up this year cos hubby was injured and we're going to be away anyway, so . . . It feels kinda weird. I have a tiny tree (about a foot and a half) that's decorated and lit, but not quite the same ;):D

    and yea, i can see that. if i were to go away for the holidays, while i'd miss having my own tree....would make sense not to bother. once, we didn't get a tree....just b/c.....and i really missed it. so unless i jet off to hawaii for the holidays :D...i'll always get a tree!
