    I would say it really comes down to trust. I think it's a bit fucked to make your wife/gf ditch every friend she ever had that's a guy, and vice versa. Sure, Brian is dying to stick it in her, but if you know your wife would never let it happen, then you should be able to handle him being around occasionally rather than forbidding her from ever seeing him again. All that shows is monstrous insecurity and a controlling nature. It's going to make you look weak and pathetic and then she really IS going to sleep with the guy becos he's not as much of a whiny jealous pussy as you. Handle him being around like a man, the competition will be healthy for you and she'll like you better for it.

    And I agree. Men and women CAN be friends without sex getting in the way. Both just have to respect the others’ wishes, and any significant others involved need to respect the friendship and trust their mate. Pretty simple, really. If either person pushes for more than the other wants, or if a S.O. gets jealous…it can become a problem.
    I have a couple of long-term female friends that I’m not attracted to at all – they’re just cool people who I enjoy talking to, and getting female POV’s from. My friendships with them are no different than they are with my guy friends…at least not in my eyes.

    no, it doesnt mean we always get it. but it does mean that if you ever weaken for a second, we will be there ready to stick it in. if you can be cool with that, then it's all good. the alternative is to just give the guy friend the sex a few times until it loses its mystique, then you can carry on with the friendship ;)

    jealousy is internal. the fact that you're jealous is YOUR problem, not hers. so if someone needs to change, it would be the jealous person, not her. if she wants to maintain friendships with guys and you cannot accept that, then yes you are basically the same as the meatheads that rule their girls' lives. just becos those guys want to fuck her doesn't mean she can't continue to value their friendship. doesn't mean she's "playing that shit" to fuck with you. if her having a few guy friends makes someone so jealous their life is miserable, the problem is the jealous person is being a pussy, not that the girl is being some sort of manipulative bitch.

    as most do i'm sure. i value open communication and get on well with my parents, but i really don't want to have a sitdown where mom is telling me to marry a lesbian and just get all the action i want on the side. ;) and even if i had that convo, it won't change many other doors remaining closed, like my... ah... herbal relaxation regimen ;)

    I didn't tell her to marry a man who was gay...they sat me down and told me their plan. I love him so... I agreed...as for your herbal relaxation regimen...why would your parents mind? It's so common place...again...I have no clue...just my own opinion.
