    My b-day is also Dec. 23. I wonder if Eddie had to deal with the same bullcrap I did with having a birthday so close to Christmas. I could never have a party as a kid, even on the week leading up to it, because everybody was so busy with their Christmas crap. My cake was always green and red and we couldn't cut into it until Christmas "when the whole family could enjoy it," and I always got one "combo" gift instead of an X-Mas and b-day gift. My parents were so busy finishing up Christmas shopping that one year that they forgot about my 16th birthday until 10 p.m. that night.

    I know it sounds petty but as a kid, it really sucked. I became resentful of all the birthdays I had to sit through the rest of the year and it made me pretty bitter. It helped sharing my birthday with my favorite musician.

    If you know a kid with a b-day around a holiday, I beg of you, let the kid enjoy their own day without bringing all the holiday crap into it.

    yes, that blows. my bday is always near thanksgiving. i despise thanksgiving food. once, my mom got me an ice cream cake shaped like a turkey dinner. i was not happy. eh well, don't get to choose when you are born, but you bet...i think mid-summer bdays would be a bit "more"...no real competition with any holidays, b/c independence day, that ain't no competetion... :D

    Well I ain't getting him a damn thing because he didn't call me or anything on mine just a couple weeks ago
    All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow
