PORCH night 4

Ed hit his mouth on mic stand he was pretty upset almost stopped the song, the it was awesome the crowd took over for the first verse sounded awesome to me :D:D could be the start of a new tradition :D I was in sec 214 I saw Eddie putting ice on his lip during the solos. But came back to the mic and rocked the rest of the night. :mrgreen:

    Yeah, I was just telling my friends about that today... he was absolutely going to stop but the crowd just took over... I friggin LOVE Porch!

    it was a highlight crowd singing the first verse, I think it's the first time for porch!

    ahh.... that's what happened. I saw him holding his mouth, then ice on it... couldn't figure out what happened.

    yeah i was in 216 and he smashed his mouth pretty hard into the mic. if the crowd had not kept the song going the band was going to stop.
    i am sure he was feeling that for a few days.

    It's the #1 thing I'm looking forward to on that bootleg (I'm a Porch junkie).

    Yah, he totally gave up on the song, but Matt kept thumping and the crowd took over for Ed... when the house lights came up for the crowd... oh man... best thing ever!

    Yeah he took a pretty good shot to the face, he had a ton of ice in his mouth during the solo.

    Oh man... just thinking back on how the crowd was able to basically will that otherwise sure abortion of a song attempt back into being... I love it!

    Yea, from where I was in the 300's, I thought he missed a chord. This was great because at this point in the show they had already flubbed and had to restart a few songs (bugs, got some, and at least one more, i think) and the crowd was like, "No, Ed, we're getting through this one, we got you!"

    With everything else still soaking in, I had totally forgotten about that moment. Getting goosebumps now thinking back to how loud we all sang to keep the song going. Awesome. Just awesome. Thanks for the reminder.

    Easily one of the best parts of that show. I loved the opening he was playing; a lot of the people around me didn't recognize it as Porch.

    I didn't realize he hit is mouth, I just thought he lost the chords somewhere. But to hear the crowd belt out one of my top 3 songs like that was just amazing...

    I want this boot NOW!! :)

    Dude, I keep watching the start of it over and over... my favorite part (other than the house lights coming up on the fans as we sang) is how Matt queues kicking into the song based, not on Ed or any of the other band members, but us. It's kind of a connection... and that's what makes it special. Matt was playing to us and only us...

    God, I love it!

    the sing a longs during the spectrum show were the best I have heard by far.. In Hiding, Betterman, Porch etc EPIC!
