    hah. 2 and a half minutes in they mention stone quitting to become scrabble champion (and eddie.. you're coming to australia AND NEW ZEALAND.. jesus...)

    and stone mentions the rumour pit. ha. hate to be pedantic (no i don't, i love it) but it'd be the message pit wouldn't it? unless kat and sea were spreading rumours at the old sony site? and.. yeah.

    so i was telling dunky about my bad bad 7th form (last year of high school in nz ..) design portfolio and how at my high school art department we didn't have computers to use for our graphic design so had to EVERYthing by hand.

    only 11 years ago. no computers. no wonder none of us got into art school...

    look at that. my portfolio was for a music festival ... R.A.T.S. which was just an excuse to use a logo i'd already drawn when i took it upon myself to draw one for every pearl jam song from ten-vitalogy...

    ed was my main model because.. i had lots of posters of him at the time

    it looks so bad but really.. without computers this shit was like designing in the 19th century. it was re-goddamn-diculous.

    Without discrediting people who do use computers for art, I like to think heart to pen has that personal inclusion. And wtf would art schools know anyway? The crap that is up in gallaries at the moment looks like my kids Kindy room. You have a gift so enjoy.....and maybe make some megabucks! :D

    hey kiddies, i thought like ziggy zig i'd committed the flameable (or flammable?) offense of not knowing Out of My Mind, until i just watched the video on youtube from philly and it all came back to me! i certainly do remember it now - it was many many years ago in a phase when i sought every single piece of pj recording i could get my hands on... a phase in which i continue to revel to this day.

    i was looking at your stuff the other day DP, and apart from the actually amazing still-lifes and portraits i really love the where's wally-style composite pieces where you and your friend added alternating elements - those are modern day masterpieces!
