Joe Buck is a tool

What are the chances he actually listened to the album yesterday?
When he first spoke about the spectrum last event is a concert Sunday night(which was inaccurate), he didn't even mention Pearl Jam...Wouldn't he have said Pearl Jam if he knew they were there?
Now all of a sudden he finds out that Pearl Jam closed it out (wrong number of show dates), and he just happened to have heard Backspacer the same day.

he is a tool because he brought up Pearl Jam's concert at the Spectrum and said the new album is fantastic??

that was Mcarver.... I was pissed too. Being a RedSox fan and him clearly a biased yankee fan, I've dealt with his fuckups before." Jump from a cliff to fly, not to fall..."0

who cares. i like joe buck. not everyone knows everything...and...people make mistakes.I died. I died and you just stood there. I died and you watched. I died and you walked by and said no. I'm dead.0

He also said there were 2 shows when we all know there were 4 .For the ones who had a notion, a notion deep inside

It was Joe Buck. He said he listened to BS, then to Mccarver's album.Grandmas Jam wrote:Joe Buck is the worst sports announcer I've ever known to exist.....behind Tim Mcarver that is.....and this is coming from a diehard yankee fan
Joe Buck isn't the worst but he sure does get plenty of jobs based on his pedigree. His dad was the best, EVER.0 -
It wasn't McCarver. It was Buck who was wrong on both occasions. It was definitely him because after he mentioned that he just so happened to listen to the newest cd he mentioned that he listened to McCarver's afterwards. McCarver had just recently released an album of standards...
Joe Buck is most definitely a tool.Randall's Island, NY 9/29/96; Camden, NJ 9/2/00; Philadelphia, PA 10/3/05; East Rutherford, NJ 6/1/06; Virginia Beach, VA 6/17/08; Camden, NJ 6/19/08; Philadelphia, PA 10/27/09, 10/28/09, 10/30/09, 10/31/090 -
I think ALL sports announcers are god awful. These meaningless people think they are so entitled and that their opinion matters somehow. Joe Buck is NO different. So anytime I'm watching a sport on TV i watch it in MUTE and play some music instead...Seen PJ 21 times live from 1994-20190

Well us Mets fans get to listen to Gary Cohen, Keith Hernandez and Ron Darling. And I can assure they are not god awful. In fact they are very good, give great insight and call a great game. I actually look forward to listening to them as much as I do watching the game. Except for this year, where I liked listening to them MORE than watching the game.

When somethin is on nationally, that what I do every time.0 -
no doubt that Buck said he listened to the album, but that was after Mcarver corrected himself, although not completely. Their both "tools", and because of what they say, everyone in this room is now dumber..." Jump from a cliff to fly, not to fall..."0

Whao Nelly! We SF Giants fans are incredibly fortunate to have Krukow and Kuiper announcing along with ... uh huh ... JOHN FREAKIN MILLER (when he's not on ESPN...)!!! Talk about ADDING to a game, Krukow as a former-pitcher, Kuiper as a former-infielder and Miller with his Papa John Storytelling!
Have loved listening to these guys for like 15 years now!!!!
But yeah -- never a big fan of the dudes that make it national (cept Miller!). Joe Morgan. Sigh.
(And yeah, ya gotta be able to "hold" an audience announcing a Giants game, i know, i know...)[sic] happens0 -

Well thats different! They are all METS guys!
I'm talking about announcers that just WORSHIP any of the popular teams and talk about that team like schoolgirls while I'm trying to watch the game!
So now i just get to watch the game and listen to some good tunes at the same time! ;-)Seen PJ 21 times live from 1994-20190 -
Oh and I am mainly speaking of COLLEGE FOOTBALL announcers....
Don't watch a lot of baseballSeen PJ 21 times live from 1994-20190 -
I'm not a big fan of what Buck has brought to the World Series broadcast, but I wouldn't call him a "tool" just because he doesn't know the ins and outs of PJ's Spectrum run. It's called banter. He simply metioned PJ because 9 innings takes a loooong time, and these guys need to shoot the shit about anything and everything that kills minutes. I don't expect Fox Sports to be a great source of Pearl Jam information, just as I wouldn't come to this forum for Yankees news.Philly-4/28/03, Holmdel-7/14/03, Reading-10/1/04, Philly-10/3/05, Camden-5/27/06, Camden-5/28/05, Camden-6/19/08, Camden-6/20/08, MSG- 6/25/080

while most baseball announcers are pretty bad, i do have to give them a lot of credit. baseball can be a very long and boring game at times (regular season), and they have to do their best to come up with shit to talk about and try and keep the listeners engaged.0

I'm guessing the boys in PJ don't think he's a tool.
No telling how many copies of the album moved today because of his comments about Backspacer.
Ratings for this series are at a five year high.
Nice free advertising.
