Yeah, I understand that -- I'm not totally heartless....but are you saying you wouldn't palm her off to a friend or a grandparent to take her trick or treating and you go see Pearl Jam? I would. I wouldn't go if they had to stay home and miss out totally.....but if I could get around it, i'd be off to Pearl Jam no doubt about it.
Pearl Jam could be playing in my fucking living room, and I wouldn't give up the time with my kids to see them. It's not about whether I, as a parent, enjoy Halloween or whatever event it is, it's the importance it has to my kids, and believe it or not, kids want you to be a part of the things they enjoy doing.
Just a guess, but do you live with your kids? I do, but my brother does not, he talks like you do while I am the opposite. I work 1st shift and my wife works second which means I am with my daughter all night. I need a break after awhile.Post edited by Electric Feel on0 -

ha.
i tagged along to a couple of houses with my dog and no one gave them anything.
Not giving kids anything on Halloween is basically frowned upon here... lol
I guess people don't understand that it's a huge huge thing here... almost on par with Thanksgiving... bigger than Easter most likely.
I've seen PJ 25 amazing times... my kids (when i have them eventually) will only go trick or treating maybe 12 times, if that, their entire life... to miss out on something like that to go to a concert of any band is pretty selfish, that's just my opinion of course... but I'm probably going to be one of those parents that wants to be there for everything.0 -
come on can't we all just get along?0

I'd like to suggest that this "Halloween vs. PJ" discussion be taken elsewhere. You're ruining my buzz.0

What the fuck happened to this thread? Nobody seems to have mentioned the show for pages now! I thought this was a setlist thread...
