I gotta say Sus, that this little one >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> is more important to me than anything. I choose her over PJ.

Yeah, I understand that -- I'm not totally heartless....but are you saying you wouldn't palm her off to a friend or a grandparent to take her trick or treating and you go see Pearl Jam? I would. I wouldn't go if they had to stay home and miss out totally.....but if I could get around it, i'd be off to Pearl Jam no doubt about it.

Pearl Jam could be playing in my fucking living room, and I wouldn't give up the time with my kids to see them. It's not about whether I, as a parent, enjoy Halloween or whatever event it is, it's the importance it has to my kids, and believe it or not, kids want you to be a part of the things they enjoy doing.

Just a guess, but do you live with your kids? I do, but my brother does not, he talks like you do while I am the opposite. I work 1st shift and my wife works second which means I am with my daughter all night. I need a break after awhile.

the one time i wanted to go trick or treating because some kids from school decided to try it i wasn't allowed because my parents said it's not a nz tradition and it's basically begging.

    ha.

i tagged along to a couple of houses with my dog and no one gave them anything.

Not giving kids anything on Halloween is basically frowned upon here... lol

I guess people don't understand that it's a huge huge thing here... almost on par with Thanksgiving... bigger than Easter most likely.

I've seen PJ 25 amazing times... my kids (when i have them eventually) will only go trick or treating maybe 12 times, if that, their entire life... to miss out on something like that to go to a concert of any band is pretty selfish, that's just my opinion of course... but I'm probably going to be one of those parents that wants to be there for everything.
