Ticketmaster Scam

Dont mean to have another tixmaster thread but..............

Ticketmaster is such a scam. I was trying to hook up some tickets for one of the solo dates Eddie Vedder is doing in DC next month, and tickets went on sale today at 10am EDT. I knew it wasn't going to be easy to get them, so I had my computer clock synced with an atomic clock (seems crazy but that's the time TM works off of), and by backing up my browser and researching (not refreshing) I was able to go into the "Find Tickets" page literally the second it was available. I had selected my tickets and punched in the security code within about 4 seconds, and whattaya know? Sold out. But oh wait, if you can't find the tickets you're looking for try looking at our "partner site" Ticketnow.com. Big surprise, they had TONS of tickets for every show on the tour (that had just gone on sale 10 seconds earlier) for the low low price of $400-$1300 (original price is $77). How is Ticketmaster even allowed to do that? It's obvious they just buy every single ticket and slap them up on Ticketnow with a hugely inflated pricetag.

Eddie aint gonna be happy with this

    You know that when you get the "we couldn't find tickets" message, especially right away, it means theyre held in someone's basket. You have to keep trying. I got that message about a dozen times before I got my ticket.

    That's messed up, but you need to keep trying. I was just testing (trying for Boston later) and I went on at about 10:13. Tried for one ticket and got one, in the upper balcony, but still. And I didn't buy it, so it was released.
