    Yes, because they respect us as fans and try to keep us going with things like dvds, boots etc when they're not touring, producing albums, there's usually always something to look forward to.

    I think the Christmas Single and Deep alone prove how much PJ cares about its fan base. We are lucky to be fans of such a great band! :D

    I think it's easy to say "yes" because this is the official PJ board after all, but when you sit back and think it about it in an unbiased way, they actually really are the best band to be a fan of... thanks PJ :)

    EXACTLY! I try and look at it in an unbiased way, so it won't cloud my judgement about what I think of the band and really, they really are such a great band to be fans of, they give us SO much and I hope we give them SO much too, they truly and geniunely care about their fans and I really feel that they aren't this high and mighty intimidating band that you can't approach, I've heard so many wonderful stories about the boys and it seems that they're just as they are, they haven't been changed by fame or whatever, which is, to me a HIGH achievement, they're just great and very considerate, I feel blessed to have know such a band!!

    So of course I agree, but I wanted to ask what other bands are in the running.

    I don't have an answer but I'll throw some thoughts out there.

    What makes PJ the best:

    1. Changing set lists. a la the Greatful Dead and Phish. This truly makes them stand out.

    2. Relatively affordable tickets. Compared to other bands of their stature they are tops.

    3. Fan Club cost
    4. Fan Club seats. To be given the best seats is amazing.
    5. Fan Club specials.

    6. Art posters

    7. A commitment to Vinyl.

    8. Politics. For me this is a huge plus. First because I agree with PJ's worldview for the most part, but also because whether you agree with them or not they care. And try to use their influence to make the world a better place as they see it.

    9. Charity. Wow!

    10. Little self promotion and whoring themselves out. Sure they might do some things, but mostly in the name of getting their music to more people. As a whole they have the most integrity of any band I can think of.

    11. Free Fan club only shows. (Not enough mind you, but they do some)

    12. Accessibility to fans. (or rather how they act in public) Sure they are very private, as I feel they should be, but when approached I can't think of anyone coming out with a poor experience.

    13. Length of shows! Hell Yeah!

    14. Ten Club Message Pit.
    15. Ten club Merch, singles, and contests.

    16. Music that is deep, thoughtful, brilliant, and thought provoking.

    17. Busting out semi retired songs at the request of the fan base

    18. Still currently putting out records.

    19. Commitment to promoting opening bands they like. (pre-set, etc.)

    20. BOOM!
