Now that I've had time to let it sink in and recover from fucking mud.........I never want to see mud again for a long time. Man, that shit sucked. Ruined my shoes and had to buy new ones. There's only one band I would do that for and of course it's Pearl Jam.
The show was amazing. That was my 7th show, first since 03, and easily the best and most memorable. The band flat out rocked and kicked some ass. Ben on "Red Mosquito" was amazing, and Perry Farrel, holy shit that was bad ass. Now bring on the bootleg.......
....hey pj....can I get a free boot since I had to buy ....
you know, I was thinking today that the ACL show was probably the first PJ show I've ever seen where they didn't play Betterman
I was suprised Betterman wasn't played either, and Black. Seems they have been playing Black alot on this tour. Had they been given more time/ decided to go over I'm sure they would have.
it was all about rocking out that night. Small Town was the only slow song, and maybe Present Tense, which i guess is slow but seems like a rocker to me.

Yeah good thinking. All this week the Texas news stations are talking how people are getting sick from the mud since it was treated sewer sludge. And for those just tuning in you heard right SEWER SLUDGE!

present tense kicked ass!

yeah, it did!!! my favorite PJ song of all time...i was so happy when they played it! (release the bootleg!)
Agreed. Present tense is def one of my fave pj songs, top 5 easily. I was so happy to finally hear PT and Red Mosquito live. I am so happy I got 3 songs from my fave pj record. (I've seen them do Hail, Hail before). I also really enjoyed "unthought known" this show just kicked massive amounts of ass. I loved the GA feel. Didn't think I would, but seeing PJ in a GA/ festival setting was actually a really cool experience. Bring on the bootleg Kaufala!!
I guess this isn't coming out today? Wanted to relive this over the weekend.

I’m going to quote Kings of Leon’s Nathan Followill from Rolling Stone, issue #1090, October 29, 2009 on page 17:
“I was a little hung over,” says Nathan, who got his grease fill with local BBQ. “I ate brisket, smoked turkey and sausage for breakfast.” He and the other Kings stuck around to catch Pearl Jam’s fest-closing set that night.
“I watched Eddie face-plant in the mud,” he says. “Later, we found out it was armadillo shit.”

It is AMAZING when Perry and Eddie sing "WE Had the Same Opinions, We Had the same opinion, we were holding it back hurt so bad..." !!!! The band sounds perfect on this, the solo shreds! Historically on Fire! Just downloaded the show, had to check mountain song, now I'm on to the rest of the show.

yup...it was such a great show!!! welcome to the board!
Awesome concert, so thankful to hear so many from No Code and SOLAT! Probably the ONLY chance I had at front row in my life. The ten hour wait was totally worth it. A girl that got a copy of the set list was one person away from me. The guy that gave it to her said he chose her because she never took her eyes off the stage. I'm not sure if that's true, but I am happy for her and she seemed to appreciate it
My camera is old, but I think I got some okay pictures
Sorry man team goldfish was on the left...maybe you heard all of singing alive before PJ got on. Or during the concert us yelling for water. Best moment "I shall tell your story good sir" (british accent) but anyways the only let down was PJ got on ten min. late and got off 5 min. early. oh well , my feet and legs were hurting from all the standing anyways...

Man, i'm so bummed I missed this show, only for the fact Perry Farrell came out and sang Mountain Song with EDDIE! I'm going to download the bootleg just for that song!!! This tour was like an all out 90's fest. First Perry, then Chris Cornell and Jerry Cantrell (in LA). That's so awesome!!! PJ needs to do more special guests!
How about when Ed was like ..."Me and Ben Harper stayed up til 8 30 this morning and ....we, figured it out! We figured out the world and we wrote it all down but my handwriting is a little messy but we wrote it all down but we can't wead it!" He totally said "wead" instead of "read". I think he was kinda drunk
the bootleg of this show is AWESOME....Eddie's microphone during mountain song was crapped out and you couldn't hear him singing...but it obviously came though on the PA and in the mix cause it sounds great on the boot!

You would know if you near- the big group of people near the front on the left side.We were singing 'Alive' before PJ got on and bugging the shit out of security for water
Team goldfish! Sorry it took so long to check this board out - but go Bluecap! Our section made the experience even greater - passing round diet coke/rums, helping each other out with water bottles. Hollla!

Does anyone know what the intro music was? Very cool piano stuff. Wish it would have been included on the bootleg. Has it been played at all their shows this tour? I love a band that comes out to something, always sets the mood.
