nfanel wrote:yeah, unfortunately septa trains stop running around midnight. to get from camden to philly via ferry and then from penn's landing to the train would be cutting it close. best bet is to drive. the drive really shouldn't be too bad. shorter than mine and i'm a local!
Do Patco trains stop running then too? Because someone said the City Hall stop is very close to the venue, and that runs over to I think 8th and something, and then you could switch over to another line. The key is when getting out of the Camden show is you RUN to whatever transportation you want so you're less likely to have to wait. Most people are either drunk/stoned/tired, and milling about. If the second YL or whatever the last song is, is over, you book out of that arena, you can get ahead of tons of people, because they're wandering around taking their time.R.i.p. Rigoberto Alpizar.

In 06 we left during YL both nights and were still far back in the line for the ferry. It was no problem getting back across the river but I was surprised how far back we were in line considering we actually left before the show was over.0

PATCO runs pretty much all night, but less frequently during the middle of the night.
Bathgate, you are not close to the venue, but it's not a bad drive, if you leave early enough during the day. The drive home should be fine, cross the Ben, take Vine Street to 76 to City Line Ave., and you're there. At that time of night, there shouldn't be traffic.
But next time, ask before you book. There are numerous other, more convenient, options.Don't come closer or I'll have to go0 -
I work at the susquehanna center so I know of a few hotels you can try. There is a Crowne Plaza in Cherry Hill, NJ that is very close and 2 hotels owned by Marriott (not sure which branch of marriott) in Deptford, NJ. The first is a few miles, the second 2 are about 10 miles. Being in NJ, you will not get any city traffic. Many tours use the Crowne Plaza b/c it's so close.rock bands may come and rock bands may go...

Since you can't cancel, see if they'll let you transfer the reservation to the Cherry Hill or Center City Crown Plazas.*Rock and/or Roll!*0

Yes and what was annoying was there were also plenty of line jumpers as you got closer in line. But the ferry site says the ferry continues until all showgoers have been transported, and the thing holds a LOT of people.R.i.p. Rigoberto Alpizar.

I remember that as well. As I recall, a few brawls nearly broke out. There were more cops after the second show.
It is amazing how many people that ferry can hold.0 -
There is a Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn on Route 70 E in Cherry Hill. Both are only a 5 minute drive to the S-Center. I would highly recommend those hotels for anyone still looking for a room.
The PATCO runs all night. Below is a link to the schedule. For those staying in Center City, you pick up the PATCO at 15/16th and Locust, 12/13th and Locust, 9/10th and Locust or 8th and Market. Take the PATCO to either one of the 1st 2 stops in Camden (City Hall and Market St.) and walk a few blocks toward the River. Very easy and convenient.

Another option (to anyone) that I don't believe has yet been mentioned is the RiverLine. Lucky for me, I'm directly across the river (5 minute drive to the station) from Burlington, NJ. That is one of the many stops along the RiverLine, which ends AT the venue. Last time I took it, it was less than $3 round-trip. The fact that it lets out directly next to Susquehanna (and the Aquarium right before that) makes it the most convenient form of public transportation to the venue.

Check out the route, and see if you're able to get to any of the stops along the way more easily than the other transit options.*Rock and/or Roll!*0 -

I don't think it's as complicated as those directions make it sound. From what I gather (and I've never done the drive), you cross the bridge and follow the signs.
But like many others have suggested, and especially now that you've changed locations (again, why not to the center city one?), you should try to stick with public transportation if you're that concerned.*Rock and/or Roll!*0 -

Yeah, as soon as you get off the bridge, you make a right and the parking is right there on your left. The problem is, all the maps I've looked at and directions I've read don't make any sense in relation to this, and last time I was there I couldn't find my way back to the bridge.0
