me too. I'm a massive UT fan and would think I would have noticed that. I even mentioned to my wife at the simulcast that it was cool he was using a different stool for the night.

He was definitely not joking about the stool. We were up front at Toronto earlier this year and I noticed it as Rick brought it out and set it up. I follow the Longhorn Football team like I follow Pearl Jam and at that moment my two seemingly unconnected worlds collided in a big F'in way. I kinda freaked out for awhile.

Ed signing along w/ the lady signing for the deaf audience and the lady and Ed doing the middle finger during the appropriate part of Given to Fly

Yeah, I forgot about that. Priceless!

Absolutely not kidding re: the stool. He was using it on his solo tour, as well.

Wow. That's awesome. My 2 hobbies intersect.

I had no idea either and was shocked! I went to college at UT and thought it was way cool that my favorite singer was plopping his ass on my alma mater!

    heh well i'll be damned.
  • Heading out of the ACL Festival Saturday night walking down this dark trail to the pickup- I said to the girl that that morning threw a great ACL party, "I think Pearl Jam is gonna turn it up and turn the fucking lights out on this place tomorrow night." She said, "I think they are too."

And damn. From the piano intro to the end. Fucking Awesome!

The moon was shining behind the stage and I think the man on the moon was smiling from ear to ear. I know I was.

    Thanks.!!!
    Dolor es.....?
  • The soldiers they had off stage.
Ben Harper ripping it up with the band after helping solve the world's problems the night/morning before.
    Perry Farrell
Eddie screaming from his knees over and over "don't you want me" on Go was one of the best moments I've ever seen in a concert.
    Not For You yeah!

Based on everyone I spoke to, everyone in Austin loves Pearl Jam. Even people that didn't get to go to the show because of the cash situation said they love the band and were so pissed they didn't get to go after hearing how great it was.

I know this translator from Lolla 07 & 08 and I’d like to congratulate her for all the hard work she has done, especially after all the trouble she went through getting to this point. She's also a big PJ fan and one of her dreams was to be on the stage with EV and doing GTF with him. She got her wish at ACL.

A beautiful picture for her to treasure those moments, too. http://www.antiquiet.com/shows/2009/10/ ... mg_7564_2/

Congratulations, Barbie Parker, and if anyone’s interested in sending her pictures/videos, contact her agency here at http://www.aliveperformance.com/page6.html.

    Take care.
JA: Why do I get the Ticketmaster question?
    EV: It's your band.

You know her!? That's very cool. She did a hell of a job that day, and not just with Pearl Jam. Just for the fact that someone (you) might appreciate it, I uploaded two others I snapped of her and Ed as well:

Yes, I know her. She's also one of the top interpreters in Texas. I am not at all surprised she did a great job.

You did a nice job taking pictures that night, those came out great. Thanks for uploading more pictures of her and EV, amongst other pictures that night.

I think she will really appreciate it if you sent her those pictures.

    Thanks.

  • Awesome concert, so thankful to hear so many from No Code and SOLAT! Probably the ONLY chance I had at front row in my life. The ten hour wait was totally worth it. A girl that got a copy of the set list was one person away from me. The guy that gave it to her said he chose her because she never took her eyes off the stage. I'm not sure if that's true, but I am happy for her and she seemed to appreciate it :D

My camera is old, but I think I got some okay pictures :)

you know, I was thinking today that the ACL show was probably the first PJ show I've ever seen where they didn't play Betterman

I was suprised Betterman wasn't played either, and Black. Seems they have been playing Black alot on this tour. Had they been given more time/ decided to go over I'm sure they would have.
