So what aspect of 'Sicko' was a lie?
Also, what aspect of 'Bowling for Columbine' was a lie?
it's much easier to just say he lies...
Don't expect examples.
True. It's fashionable and cool to dismiss Michael Moore. Though It's strange that I only ever hear this bullshit from Americans. It makes me wonder what kind of mainstream media coverage he's received over there since Fahrenheit 9/11. I expect that every talking head from Bill Maher to Rush Limbaugh has been chiming in with their half-assed, smug opinions over the years and now everyone just follows suit like obedient sheep.0 -
The deception rests in the relevent information that is always left out in his movies. He is a cherry picker. Do you think that he is showing the whole picture? He is "biased." Omitting the truth is a better word to use than lieing.TDR0

Hey byrnzie, I don't know why you communicate with these douchebag losers at life. You are not gonna change any minds. The idiots here that say he's fat or say he shouldn't be critical of capitalism in a capitalist society aren't worth your time. They are a waste of oxygen and space. If people are too stupid to realize that M.M. is just trying to open some peoples eyes to injustices and problems in this world in an entertaining way. Then fuck them. Let them go back to complaining about gay rights while ass raping each other.0 -

Shut your pie hole you blind idiot. Michael Moore will wipe his ass with the money you spend on him. You won't here me complaining about gay rights. Why bring that into the arguement? Because you have no original thought?TDR0 -

If you go back and read my post again you will see that I was referring to those who call him fat or think he shouldn't complain about a capitalist society while living in it. If you don't like his style of film making so be it. But the level of thoughtless attacks from the uneducated losers here gets sickening. I just call it as I see it.
I have seen the movie and I think it is one of Roger's best. It was almost two and a half hours long and moved very fluidly. It doesn't matter if you are on the right or the left, this movie should interest you!!!0 -

i caught most of this movie over the weekend ... unfortunately for moore and everyone for that matter - a lot of people will dismiss the primary message in his film because of his style ... these are the same people who ask animal rights activists if they wear leather shoes ...
it's pretty simple - many ont his board (both right and left) have been saying this for years ... it isn't capitalism per se that is evil ... it's just that you have evil people who have manipulated the system and they have been exploiting and pillaging the people for years based on this ...
say you had a community of 10 and there was just enuf food for everyone every day - now, say that there was a way of 1 person in that community to take more leaving others short without anyone knowing it ... you know someone is gonna do it - that is human nature and that is what is happening especially in america where they use the notion of freedom and democracy to brainwash people into getting screwed ...0 -

From what I've read, there is little to no mention of the Fed's role in this movie, so I will not be seeing it. I found this clip on youtube, which I thought was interesting (if genuine):

Even though there is almost nothing about the fed, this movie is worth a viewing. Lots to think about and lots to laugh about.0 -

...which is why we created laws and enforcements of them in the first place. The alternative to the "what can you do" approach, is to ensure either that 1) Noone can take anything without anyone noticing or 2) You build a norm structure and establish morals in the group that prevents them from exploiting such loopholes. Historically, we have used both, most often simultaneously.
There is a lot to be said for "community spirit" which is often overlooked in an overly individualistic perspective.

zombieland is good fun while moore's movie is his typical grandstanding which i know you've not liked in the past ... and so it depends on what you are into ...0
