These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.

you look at a new outfit/shoes/skirt/whatever and think, is this too young for me? will i look like i am trying to look young?

you look at a hot 20-22 year old and think...man, he's hot. then you feel dirty for looking at a guy who basiclly, while legal, appears to be way too young! (of course you still look and think it, but sure..the guilt is there and cuts into the pleasure, a wee bit anyway) ;)

Oh, I see you had already discussed the 20-22 year old guilt  and absolutely, I'm with you on the outfit/shoes/skirt, too
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

...when you keep looking at that box on the floor of your den knowing it contains that brand new turntable you've been wanting for years (a Technics SL-1500C), and realize it has been sitting there for 5 weeks unopened because you are super nervous about how your shaky are going to make set-up a nightmare. (To be honest, I've thought seriously about returning it unopened to Crutchfield. I'm terrified of opening this box and trying to set this thing up!)

This is hysterical! Crutchfield doesn't want it back. However, I am a team player. I'll PM you an address to a place in Indiana that will take it. 🤣

    LOL, good try.
I got as far as making room in the garage for the Project Carbon Debut. I'm going to set that up for my wife to play her records (she's not as fussy as me, hers are closer to being beaters, lol.)
Depending on how steady my hands are, hopefully the Technics will go up in my room tomorrow!

Is there anyone local that could set it for you…sometimes paying a small fee is worth it.  Especially if it alleviates your anxiety…

Looks like it's a matter of wear and tear, arthritis and impingement in the hip joint.  My doc said to give it a few weeks and see if it gets better.  If not, I'll have to see an orthopedic specialist.  I'm pretty sure the latter is what's going to happen.
Mary Martin once said, "After 50 it just patch, patch, patch".  Jimmy Steward was quoted as saying "After age 70 it's just patch patch patch."  I'd say Jimmy was lucky, lol.

  • I'm not sure whether you'd consider a hip replacement? I've heard of people in their 50's getting this done successfully. If they can patch things up, great... I'd love to reach 70 before they start patching me up.

Ive noticed that as I get older (43) I notice I need to rest a lot more as i don't t have as much energy as I used to :(  I think with older age you need to rest and recuperate more.  But right now I have the flu!
Good luck with you hip(s) Brian.
