It's been 17 years since Philly has heard "Oceans"

I got Oceans twice on the west coast in 2006. Still no Wash.

Hopefully get Wash in LA or SD 09..... although I would gamble Oceans is a lock at one of those 5 shows.

The Pacific Ocean has that effect on the boys.

Yep, got it that night too. Was my 31st show and getting it in the middle of Canada was a nice surprise.

That show is severely underrated on here:

Plus the whole Let Stone sing chant ...

Ed tries to start “Elderly Woman…” and is interrupted by a “Let Stone Sing!!” chant from the floor. Enough so that Ed walks to the front of the stage to listen, and Matt gets a beat going in time with the chant, then Ed doing the chant on the mic. Ed first says “NO! he will never sing … he shan’t never sing”, laughing and looking at Stone, who is pretending to be busy with his guitar. Ed says “you make it sound like someone is not letting Stone sing. Stone Gossard can sing any song, at any time, on any stage”. Then Stone walks to Ed’s mic and says “what I really want to do is dance”, which gets Ed and Matt starting an improv jam, with Jeff and Mike quickly joining in. The spotlight shines on Stone, and he starts dancing, goofing around shaking his ass – continuing it for a good amount of time! – the crowd loving it, the band cracking up.

That was definitely one of the best shows ever; totally underrated.

I'll be seeing ya in Philly (shows 2-4), along with P&E (she'll be at all 4). We're using my 10c number so maybe we'll be seated close by?

Oceans, Of the Girl, Long Road... all great openers.
