Philadelphia transportation question

I'm flying into Philadelphia Friday the 30th for the show Friday and the Halloween show, and since I don't think i'll be arriving until close to show time, I will probably be heading straight to the spectrum. Just wondering what is the quickest way to get to the spectrum. Bus, Subway, or Cab? Anyone have any insights?

Also, how long would it take to get from the Airport to City Center and then down to the Spectrum again by bus, subway, or cab (whichever is quickest)?

    The airport is only about 3-4 miles from the Spectrum. There are trains that you can take, check out the SEPTA website for schedules. From center city, you take the orange subway line to the venues. A cab would also be quick, easy, and fairly inexpensive (it's 1 exit on I-95).

    I would probably take the subway after the show. There's a station right at the stadium.

    Man, i HOPE you make the show in time. Your not leaving much room for error, for Friday's show. It ALMOST seems daily, that ther is a DELAY for departing flights leaving Philly. Does this have an affect on arivals? I don't know, but you better HOPE you don't have any problems.

    I agree with most: TAKE A CAB.

    Cab it , if you are cutting it close you dont have to worry about finding and getting on the right train or bus.

    Question for Philly people - If I am staying 10/28-11/1, is it better for me to just buy a week trans pass instead of paying as I go? I am not renting a car and plan on seeing as much of the city as possible while I am not at any PJ shows. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

    there's a wonderful thing called the Philadelphia Phlash - $5.00 for the day and it runs from Penns Landing to the Philadelphia Zoo

    see the website, it's pretty cool and it's even been in a PJ DVD - can't remember which one but the PJ bus comes around and in the back ground one of these big purple things comes by :D

    that's the way I would go, a lot of the city you can walk around, but if you want to go any distance, you can take the Phlash

    that's one option anyway, enjoy your stay
