I play "stone gossard" in the NJ-based PJ Tribute band called No Code.

No I don't dress like him or any of that, but I am 99% true to his form when it comes down to it.
Although instead of "covering" PJ's actual jams (RVM, Porch, etc...) we do our own thing on stage...

But I've been debating doing this for a while now...and was wondering what the interest level is...

I've studied Stone's work for quite a few years, had a few guitar lessons from him as well....so...

Are there any songs you guys would like to see how it's played, or how it should be played? I will video tape it and post to youtube if there's a decent amount of interest...so I guess, name your requests?

    Oh - I've never used tab either. I play by ear and I play by watching.

    it wouldn't exactly be video lessons, as I cannot teach guitar for the life of me. Other than the lessons from Stone, I never had any other type of lesson.

    It would be just me playing stone's parts as accurately as possible - lets face it....the videos and tabs out there, are not right

    Sure thing, will probably get to this by tomorrow, just gonna figure out the best way to do this. I'll probably grab the track, load it into a DAW - then set up my guitar, play over it and sync up the video later on with the mixed audio

    I have the tab book, but the prechorus is totally different from what I see Stone playing live.

    never used the tab but I know exactly what part you're talking about - took me a while to figure out what he was playing, finally figured it out, then affirmed by stone.

    Alive is the song I most COMMONLY hear and see being played wrong

    Confirmed by Stone!? That's awesome. Please show how to play this. I never knew what they played during the breakdown during the solo either, the "yeah, ah ha, woh, ah ha part.
