Best opener on a PJ album
let the song protest

So now that we have 9 albums to pick from (we'll go with proper studio discs only), what song do you think is the best opener for any of the band's albums?
Once
Go
Last Exit
Sometimes
Brain of J
Breakerfall
Can't Keep
Life Wasted
Gonna See My Friend
I'm finding this really difficult! Once is a classic, but it's not my favorite of their opening tracks. Always had a soft spot for Last Exit, but with time it's receded a bit. Go is another stone cold classic, hard to argue against it. Breakerfall and Brain of J get me pumped! Sometimes stands out as the most subdued track here, and it has some of my favorite lyrics. Life Wasted rocks and Gonna See My Friend is another great opener...this is too tough.
I think as much as I love Sometimes and Breakerfall, I'll go with GO. Until I change my mind later

Yeah, that would be impossible for me! I LOVE LOVE Sometimes - seeing Ed do it solo twice on the last solo tour was a real thrill. Go, Sometimes, Breakerfall, Brain of J...they all rock.0 -
Also, as far as Sometimes goes - how great is it when Sometimes ends and Hail Hail comes blasting in? That's my favorite transition from one song to another on a PJ album. Okay, another post subject for another time, maybe

Of course that segue is part of what makes Sometimes such a killer opener. I'm rethinking my Go choice now. I'm going to say it's a tie b/w Go and Sometimes.0 -
Last Exit and it's not even close.0

For me it has to be Life Wasted. That song rocks hard. Hopefully, I will hear it live one day.0
