nothing at all in Waco---just the cd. no rockband, single or tshirt. it looks like Austin & Houston got all the goodies, though.

because there is more business and money in Dallas/Fort Worth than almost any other ccity in the USA. More corporate offices are located here than any other city as well so that means lots and lots and lots of jobs.

*on a side note, just talked to a friend in Austin and the Target stores there don't seem to have the shirts either

I got some in Austin this morning. Target at IH35/Parmer Ln.
  • In Tulsa, they I got the last two cds on the shelf, which surprised me a little. Told the help that it needed to be restocked (doing my part :) ). No shirts, didn't even ask...didn't get the sense there was anything special in the music section today...

But I checked for Jason Mraz or Jack Johnson, not one cd on the shelf ... its like everyone has just given up on selling cd's anymore, its sad. Plenty of KOL and Beatles though, so theres that.

  • Well, showed up at the Target in the suburb I live in just outside of Tulsa, OK. It was noon, and no new Pearl Jam to be found anywhere. We had to interrupt the commune of Target red shirts hanging out in the aisle gabbing about last nights football game (who cares?) and ask where Backspacer was. All they could say was, "Oh...we haven't even put it out yet..." Um, ok entitlement generation, you might want to get on that and earn that $8.23/ hr they're paying you, and while your at it, tuck in your shirt.

I don't know, maybe I'm naive and too much of a fan but given the recent tv hype with the Target commercials and Fixer, I guess I expected a welcoming party or something. I figured they would at least be playing the promo on those fancy tv's they have in the electronics department. Anyway, I got my cd, just downloaded the two free shows and I'm super stoked!! Much love for PJ and this amazing album :)

After watching all you poor suckers suffer through this "recession" everyone's been talking about ... I wondered why anyone would choose NOT to live in Texas. We barely felt it here. ;)

Only store in the Fort Worth area that had the shirts was the Watauga store, which wasn't all that inconvenient for me so I didn't mind. I called first and they said they had about 10 left. When I got there this afternoon they had a big display right by the door with loads of CDs, vinyl, singles, and shirts.

I don't know how they decided which stores would carry the shirts. I suppose there was some kind of logic to it but it didn't seem to me that they had been overrun with PJ fans. :?

At the Target I work at we got two boxes of backspacer with maybe 12 each in them. No shirts in the store or rockband dowloads. The other Target ( nearest us) got shirts in store and our store currently has the shirts as for sale "online only" at target.com. Looks like every Target got a little different shipment. We got no vinyls.
