A bit of a bold opinion here; The first 6 tracks of The Fixer may be the the best sequence of tracks they've ever dropped on a studio album.

I'm in love with this disc

  • I don't know about that. I would, however, say that Just Breathe -> Amongst the Waves -> Unthought Known is the best 1-2-3 since No Code. And Backspacer's final 1-2 punch is among their best among all albums.

Either way, I'd like to say I think this record is pretty much tight as a drum.
  • Stopping at Amongst the Waves would be a crime!

    Go listen to Ten again..
  • i think the 4 song sequence of johnny guitar > just breathe > amongst the waves > unthought known, is easily the tightest 4 song sequence they've done on an album. this whole album is just pure brilliance though. up there with yield for me as their best ever. something about it just clicks with me. so dreamy

  • The more I think about it..what a freaking great weekend to be in Seattle and have two PJ shows. The Huskies upset the #3 team in the country, the Mariners playing the Yankees (sure they got clobbered last night), PJ releasing Backspacer with parties all over the city and finally two shows. Does it get any better?
  • i cant comment on this threat..i have to finnish studies in maths first..:lol:

Yea, this album is sick. read some threads with some saying it was more of a throw-away with "forgettable songs. people are on the dope.
He who forgets will be destined to remember...

Wow, I am impressed...sounds like your right...esp on the Huskies, ooh I was loving that, and called it before the game, people said I'm crazy.
