Seriously, at least title your thread with "spoiler alert" or "I like the line in x song"

don't just come out and reveal the lyrics in the thread title. I click on something not knowing what it is, only to find out it's a lyric in a new song. Come on, have some consideration. Some of us haven't heard it yet, and it's kinda hard not to read the thread titles.

If you want to discuss lyrics, artwork, etc, at least don't have a thread title that reveals all, or drop a bomb in the "backspacer delivery thread".

"no backspacer in Chicago!"
"backspacer arrived in new jersey"
"backspacer in Florida! I love the picture of Ed and the drawing of the whatever with the whatever lyrics"

I'll never understand you folks. You've already purchased the album, probably spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars on the band over the years and you could listen to the album right now but you torture yourself and choose not to, even though you've already purchased it.

If you are really that sensitive about spoilers (to the point of posting a thread with a frown in the title) would it kill you to spend a few days away from the message board? Or better yet, listen to what yield2me said. If the album is already arriving from the 10 Club, I think it's safe to listen to it. You aren't being a purist at this point, you are being a borderline jackass

Stop suffering, just listen to the thing.

i made this choice back when i heard got some on conan and i've not regretted it.
i've only heard that, the fixer and supersonic as they were played at shows i was at

and when i can slide the best record in years into my cd player tomorrow or the next day it'll make the listening all that much more the better, part of the enjoyment will come from the building anticipation

so it's not a NOW decision, it's been going on for awhile

about a month before my last live show, i made the decision to listen to only studio albums and no bootlegs until the after show, that choice made the live shows that much better, in my opinion

i don't question our existence...i just question our modern needs

really, i try to explain my position and i'm being a "borderline jackass"?
yes, it's GREAT that other people have gotten their cds from 10c and are listening, as soon as i get mine i will, believe me, 100x times over i wil.
i choose to wait
my choice, has no effect on you whatsoever

and i'm intelligent enough to stay out of threads alluding to spoilers and scroll quickly past posts that are spoilers
not a problem for me.

Well it does have an effect on me if you are on here trying to tell me to stop talking about the album or put spoiler in post titles

Haha.

A. I don't have the album yet, so I can't listen.
B. I could probably find it online, but I don't want to illegally download it, only to listen to it on my crappy speakers.
C. I'm not asking anyone not to talk about, only to not reveal lyrics or artwork clues in thread titles.

If I had the hard copy I would be listening to it, and talking about, but I would be cognisant of the fact that others haven't heard it yet.
I don't want to listen without the lyrics, artwork either.

It's really not that hard to avoid putting lyrics in a title.

Oh, and luv, I will be out of town this weekend. Otherwise I would come. I hope I get the thing today, tho, otherwise I gotta wait till Monday!!
