our shipping notice said expect it to be a month because of tight customs control ... i'm in NY this weekend - think i will go pick one up a record store if it's available and then give it to a buddy later when my 10C one arrives ...

Can anyone confirm when they were sent i think santos was hinting that they were sent a while ago to compinate for long shipping times

I just received notice it shipped yesterday so not expecting it for a while... :? But looking forward to hearing more in Seattle

. BTW...catch the interview in the Globe today taken back in Aug. with Ed. Good explanations of the inspirations of the songs. The Village Voice has an early review as well. cant forward the link.... :?

Yes i recieved notice wednesday, but from what i read they were sent a while ago! They did that to comp long shipping waits, i hope this is true and they sent all the notices with the us ones

It would be nice to know when specifically they were sent.

If it was a few days earlier than the US orders, then expect Backspacer to arrive 2-3 weeks after the release date minimum.

If they were sent a month ago then yeah we should get em any day now :-)

Either way im going to pick up a copy this weekend...and leave it in my car when the 10C version arrives.

I didn't pre-order it, but a very strange thing just occurred: one of my employees just called and said that someone dropped off the Backspacer CD at our store for me - and didn't leave a name - so I guess I'll have it tomorrow! No idea who or how though...

I don't get whats with customs coming into Canada from the US border. I was looking for PJ stuff last week and found promo's for the worldwide suicide and Life Waste for 3 pounds each.. thought they'd be cool in the collection, since there were no cd singles for the S/T album.

They were here in a week. From England to Edmonton. Ordered a record from england, it was also here in a week.

I wonder why customs is so much quicker with UK mail than US mail?

For the life of me, I cannot understand why anything from 10C takes forever to get over the border to Toronto. I ordered something from a U.S. retailer last Friday — and I got it on Wednesday in the mail. USPS, no special delivery of any sort. (And it came from Utah, not NY or anywhere on the East Coast.)

What gives?

My theory is the problem lies with BOOM

When Boom is packing the product for shipping inevitably resin from the weed Boom smokes rubs off on to the shipping package, when going through customs this triggers and automatic search delaying the clearance!

Nothing here in TO yet.
I wish when they send the shipping info it would say WHAT they were shipping!
I have ordered the Toronto Poster, The Backspacer Cd, Backspacer Vinyl and The Fixer Vinyl.
I have received the Fixer (2 weeks after I got an e-mail saying something was shipped).
I got an e-mail on Wednesday (I think it was) saying my order was shipped. My question is...WHICH order????
I'm assuming Backspacer. I'm expecting to get the cd prob beginning of October.
I'm going to buy the cd in the store this weekend though...so I have something to listen to in the meantime.
