Target has Backspacer for Rock Band, its a special edition for $29.00, i guess you can download all tracks on to your Xbox 360 or Playsation, and comes with the concert downloads.
someone mentioned in another thread that the Wii usually follows suit within a week or 2.
I read an article the other day "Everything you wanted to know about Backspacer but were afraid to ask" or something like that and it reported Wii will have Backspacer to download on the 22. Which is pretty early for the Wii so I'm a bit skeptical.

Rock Band 2 is STILL not available in Europe on wii...they've kept on pushing it back month after month.. now they've just delayed it indefinitely (as in we'll never have it)
can you play the rock band games if all you have is the guitar from guitar hero? i want to buy this but am not going to buy any more 'instruments'
I wanna know the answer to this question too. Also, do you need the Rock Band game to play it? Or can you just download it and start playing. Will RB 1 work? I think that's only like 10 bucks for the game

The instruments will work
You will need the Rock Band 2 disc to access the online store to download it and ANYTIME you want to play it, so no, you can't just go out and rent it
There will be no extra disc in the packaging. Just a code to enter on the XBOX/PS3/Wii

Backspacer will come out but you have to go onto the wii store and buy the songs individually for $2 a piece (This is what I had to do for Ten). We Wii owners just have to wait a little longer and do things a little differently.

What is special about the Rock Band Backspacer D/L at Target for 29.99??? An album is usually 14.99-17.99 when you download from the PS3 or Rock Band store... More importantly (I know I posted this already) can we transfer Ten and Backspacer into the PJ ROck Band Ed. when that comes out?
N/M I get it now... You get the CD and the codes to D/L the songs from the RB store. But from what I have read this version is available at "select Target stores" .... Not a bad deal for 29.00 since the D/L will probably run 17.99 by itself. The CD also has access to the Concert downloads. I'm gonna own more copies of this album due to all the different kinds of releases it is getting.... We need an all inclusive release!

I don't know if this is true for everyone. I have PS3 and my guitar hero guitars (which I like much better) worked initially, but since my last system update, no longer work with RB2. Bummer

You should be able to. You might have to set up a profile but even wlith a siver account (free) I believe you can download songs.

If you have the 360 you need RB2 game disc, and yes Guitar Hero instruments work with RB. I don't know about PS3.
