possibly. was wondering the same thing. ...except at some point someone wearing a red-shirt and a name badge would have cracked open a box to lift one for torrenting.

again, the point was not about downloading it. the point was regarding the chatter about dowloading it in PJ's backyard.

I posted the same thing on the other page about the leak but some people don't understand your point, it's like talking to a wall - they have convinced themselves that it is okay and you won't change their minds.

Safest thing to do is stay away from these boards for the next week (only 7 days until release here ;)) otherwise you'll be listening to all the people who were too impatient to wait that long telling you all about the album they have taken without respecting the band, their wishes, these boards or the other members on these boards who don't want to hear about it. You'll know all about it before it is even released.
we're all going to the same place...
  • how about they respect my wishes and TOUR THE FUCKING SOUTH!

For those that are offended by people downloading the album early...did you buy bootlegs before PJ started officially releasing them?

maybe read and understand the original post before calling people names. who said anything about being offended by people downloading it early?

    Not in this thread.

Yes, I did buy bootlegs before they started that. Please explain to me how that makes me a hypocrite in the context of the original post. You can't. Because I'm not.

Don't play holier than thou. In this day and age if you want to ignore the leak and wait... good for you... but you'll miss out on a lot of the first reactions from so many of us who've waited so long and are the ones who support this band from begining to end no matter what. Play... don't play... whatever... but when a tidal wave is headed your way it's pretty unlikely your going to be able to stay in your house and whine about how you don't want to go swimming. Its here and nearly impossible to avoid. I've already purchased 2 copies of the album so what difference does it make if I listen now or then when its basically impossible not to listen now.

*sigh*. You just don't get it. Did I say anything about ignoring the leak? No. Did I say people shouldn't download it now? No. I said don't rub it in the band's face on here. How come so many of you can't get that? I thought I explained it pretty clearly in the original post.

Yea, fans are gonna buy the album either way. If the issue is non-die-hards getting the leaked material and not buying it, is that a bad thing? If touring is how anyone makes money anymore, why wouldn't a band want as many people to hear their music in any way possible? I just don't get the archaic attitude that people should abstain because it's just not right. Times have changed. Deal with it.

Sorry but you are wrong, wrong, wrong. We are waiting until the official release and all of your "first reactions" we are missing out on are annoying. Keep them to yourselves, please, and show us who are waiting and the band at least a little respect. Your attitude doesn't make me play holier than thou, it makes me pretty pissed off. I'll now have to avoid the boards and the band until release to avoid your comments about the album.

ok guys, read this and TELL ME WHERE I SAID NOT TO DOWNLOAD IT EARLY. YOU GUYS ARE ARGUING THE WRONG TOPIC IN THE WRONG THREAD. READ THE POST AGAIN AND SEE WHAT I'M SAYING.

Adios. That's the world you live in. I'd wait too if I didn't live in this world.

I could care less what people decide to do. I just dont' know why so many people are trying to pretend like they are cops.

people should worry about themselves and care less what others are doing

well to answer you directly: if coming on here a few days early making comments like "amazing album" and 'holy shit this song is best since Yield' somehow constitutes "rubbing their faces in it" then i'm guilty as charged. but like i said, they i doubt they care, and shouldn't if they do.
