So are you saying that anyone who lives in a capitalist society has no right to criticize it and expose it's corruption?
no thats not what I'm saying. but its good too see you back trying to put words in other peoples mouth. some things never change I guess. I love living in a country where assclowns like Michael Moore can criticize anything he wants. in many places, like China for example, he would be in jail.0 -

I knew you'd use that line. 'Love it, or leave it', right?
So not only should anybody living in a capitalist society not criticize the system and it's corruption, but anybody living in a capitalist society should not criticize it period.
Seems like a dog chasing it's own tail. You declare that simply because you are free to criticize it - within certain limits - that you therefore shouldn't criticize it. So much for democracy and freedom of speech.0 -

none of this garbage has anything do to with my post. so typical.0 -

No, you made nothing clear.
I'll ask you again: Do you think that he is right to criticize the capitalist system and it's corruption, or do you think that everyone living in this society should be silent and obedient?0 -
Byrnzie wrote:

its not my problem you lack comprehension skills. my statement is very clear. I'll spell it out again. you ready?
Moore owes his success to capitalism. without it, he would not be rich. he is also an assclown.
if you need further clarification, let me know.Byrnzie wrote:I'll ask you again: Do you think that he is right to criticize the capitalist system and it's corruption

You love living in a country where people can criticize your government but when they do you call them fat, hateful human garbage.

I love that fact that I live in a country where people can speak their mind freely. that doesnt mean I have to agree or like the person. get it?0 -

You living in a country where people can speak their minds has nothing to do with why you live there. The fact that you spew hateful insults upon anyone who criticizes your government or your country is proof of this. Still, nice try.0 -

yes it does. because if I couldn't freely speak my mind, or if assholes like MM weren't allowed to, I wouldn't be living here anymore.Byrnzie wrote:The fact that you spew hateful insults upon anyone who criticizes your government or your country is proof of this. Still, nice try.
I criticize my government all the time. its really nice to be able to do that without fear of going to jail. something you currently can not do. such a shame.0 -

Really? When? On a Pearl Jam message board? The U.S power elites must be shaking in their boots.jlew24asu wrote:its really nice to be able to do that without fear of going to jail. something you currently can not do. such a shame.
I'm perfectly free to criticize the British government, thanks.0 -

I was banned by the mods for six weeks before for merely 'responding' to you. So, in light of that, and your persistent insults and provocations to me and everyone else on this message board who doesn't toe the line with your every opinion, I'm not going to reply to any more of your bullshit.
I expect you'll get yourself banned without any further help from me, so I'll leave you to it.0 -

no. criticizing the government on this board is useless, but I still do it often.. I do my criticizing on social networks, emailing my local reps, and at local alderman meetings I attend when I have a problem. I'm just one guy with a voice. they certainly are shaking in the boots.Byrnzie wrote:I'm perfectly free to criticize the British government, thanks.
thats great. but you don't live in Britain. you live in China. if you dare criticize them you will be thrown in jail.Post edited by jlew24asu on0 -

I just watched 'The Big One'. What do people think of it?
I love how he is upfront with all the people high up in these companies, e.g. the donating a 80c cheque to pay for a mexican's hour of labour.
But does he not have a good point all these corporations making millions/billions and they cant even give them a pay rise, nevermind shutting down a plant and moving to Mexico to try and make more profit?0 -

He does have a good point, but according to some people, because he has enough money with which to make these films, everything he says and does is invalidated and irrelevant.
I.e, even when the former head of publicity for CIGNA, one of the top health insurance companies in the country says that Michael Moore hit the nail on the head with the movie 'Sicko', some people still respond by calling Michael Moore 'a fat piece of hateful shit'.
Anyway, It'll be interesting to see how his new movie addresses the points you raise re: the fat cats screwing the little man.0 -
