    So not only should anybody living in a capitalist society not criticize the system and it's corruption, but anybody living in a capitalist society should not criticize it period.
    Seems like a dog chasing it's own tail. You declare that simply because you are free to criticize it - within certain limits - that you therefore shouldn't criticize it. So much for democracy and freedom of speech.

    no. criticizing the government on this board is useless, but I still do it often.. I do my criticizing on social networks, emailing my local reps, and at local alderman meetings I attend when I have a problem. I'm just one guy with a voice. they certainly are shaking in the boots.

    I just watched 'The Big One'. What do people think of it?

    I love how he is upfront with all the people high up in these companies, e.g. the donating a 80c cheque to pay for a mexican's hour of labour.

    But does he not have a good point all these corporations making millions/billions and they cant even give them a pay rise, nevermind shutting down a plant and moving to Mexico to try and make more profit?

    He does have a good point, but according to some people, because he has enough money with which to make these films, everything he says and does is invalidated and irrelevant.

    michael moore could uncover some of the greatest mysteries of our time, roswell, the holy grail, the lost ark, who killed jfk, where is amelia earhart etc and there is a certain section of our population that will not recognize it or give him any credit because of his style. it is substance not style. i think people automatically disregard what he says because he is on camera so much, but the whole point of the documentaries is they document moore's experience in covering the topic in addition to the topic itself. i like that about him because it shows how difficult that genre of filmmaking really is. he gets a bad rap. did charleton heston not look like an asshole in bowling? did the bush administration not look like a bunch of assholes in f 9/11? in spite of what people think there is some truth in these movies.

    I will check out Sicko tonight. Im just a kid from the UK soi dont get the very exact details from his documentries, e.g like comapnies he talks about etc but i get the general message. I dont even follow politics in this country, but i did watch all the obama vs mccain debates on youtube hahah, but didn't understand what they were talking about too much :P
