So far the only song my son (4 yrs) likes is the Fixer. He wants to hear it over and over.

My daughter is two years old and doesn't even speak our own language yet, so I think it'll be a while before she starts singing along to the songs :D. But she really likes to dance around like a crazy person and the more uptempo the song, the better the dance - so I think her favorite right now is prolly Even Flow :P

pfffttt... well then she's just a "casual" fan.

    ;)

Ha ha - true that :D. Your kid, on the other hand, is pretty hardcore, what with Blood being the fave and all :D.

    11 year old son.

His all time fave is Do the Evolution.

Before Chicago 1 (his first show) he mentioned wanting to hear The Fixer, Got Some and Spin the Black Circle so he was really happy.

ten-year-old: "Black," "Dirty Frank," "Daughter," "Betterman," "Blood," and, I'm sorry, "Last Kiss." I have not been able to find a way to explain to him what an awkward choice that is.

My two oldest daughters (6 and yrs old) love the fixer.

They also both go crazy over Hard Sun (I know it's not Pearl Jam). Also, since they were babies - We used to sing It's OK to calm them down when they were crying

That's funny my son and I sing "It's Ok" in Japanese. He's been doing it since he was four.

"And I say Dijobu, and you sing Dijobuuuuuuuuuuu"

Both of my kids are currently nuts for "Fee" by Phish.

My 11 year old seems to like Do the Evolution, Jeremy, Life Wasted, and Oceans most of all. Black, too. He does not like Love Boat Captain. I think it's cause his mom likes it.

Then again, you may want to take that with a grain of salt. Hoobastank is his favorite band. I always found them tolerable until their most recent album.

I put the PJ wings onesie on my 5 mo. old a weekend or 2 ago and he got shit on it less than 5 minutes later. Not sure how to interpret that one...

    That's too funny.

My 1-yr old daughter's fav song is The Fixer. She sings the "yeah yeah yeah" part every time. Love it!

Back when she was 9 months old she would sing along with me to EV's "Setting Forth" during the "ahhh-eeeeeeEEEe" part of the chorus. It melted my heart.... Before she had words, she had Pearl Jam. 8-)

My daughter just recently told me that "Help Help" is her favorite. (Sorry, Stone)
She's four. She's already serious about music.
I don't know about my son. I'll have to ask him.

Same here my 5 year old loves Hard sun and listens to it over and over in the car.

  • My 3 year old nephew loves Speed of Sound. Yesterday I played Lukin for him and than he was asking to hear that crazy guy sing again.

But, normally all he ever wants to hear is Cat Stevens and Dylan songs.

    12 year old daughter - Betterman :)
  • My five year old son loves Oceans. He calls it the 'man in the hole song' (from the Oceans video scene where the swimmer sinks into the water hole and disappears).

Not sure if this has been discussed before and thought it might be cool...also wanted an excuse to say how much my kids love Backspacer so far, especially Supersonic and The Fixer...We were cleaning up the other day and I was in the other room while The Fixer was on. I heard my 7-year old daughter singing 'Yeah, yeah, yeah' and then my 4-year old did it in the next chorus. :) I just thought it was real cute. They also dig the 'surfing' songs like Gremmie, Leaving Here, etc. and have always seemed to like Comatose.

My kids love Big Wave!! So to all the people out there who don't like it :x - take a lesson from kids!!

    Loving this thread!

Unfo with four kids, I don't have much to add... :S They are sick of their parents loving PJ so much, thrown in the hate support from our oldest son influencing other kids... We did a terrible job raising them the Pearl Jam way...but we are ok with that...they developed their own music tastes.

However... our 7 yr old daughter likes The Fixer with that Club Penguin video. And she's always running up to me in the end room of the house to alert me whenever she hears "Even Flow" on Guitar Hero to which I find the boys rolling their eyes at me when I enter the room.

Our 14 year old just joined 10c - her favorite is DTE and is enjoying the new PJ songs so far. She likes Life Wasted and a few others... lately she has been really into her dad's space playing PJ tunes on his guitar. It's awesome to witness that. :D

The boys? Lost cause... someday, who knows... ;)
