i am 41, you have no idea how much i am transformed by the music, i am an ass at concerts, i am the guy (sober)that everyone can here yelling "eddie, eddie". So why do i write here? I want to get tickets that are close to the stage, in the L.A. go around. I'm usually fine with just being in the building and going off on the music but I am an old timer now, with a 17 year-old son, a 15 year-old daughter, and a 3 year-old son. The little 3 year old has been diagnosed with autism and the household has been full of stress. Now, i don’t write this to exploit a bad situation, not at all. I want to pay face value for whatever tickets i get for my family. So far i have been unable to get close-up by just buying tickets the traditional way. I just want the Pearl Jam family to know that a night out for me, the wife and two older kids (away from our little guy who we love dearly, but from whom we just need a few hours to relax) will be a truly appreciated. I would love to have my older son able to see the Gossard or MCcready jamming on the guitar (because he is a budding musician). So, i am not asking for charity, just an opportunity to get close up to see the band of our dreams playing just a few feet away. I promise it would be a sober, family jamming night, just to get stess out and not anything else

thanks for any suggestions

  • You dont sound too sober right now....
  • Let me get this right...... you and your family are stressed out? That's why you want to be up front?

    Are you kidding me?

  • I think you might wanna set your sights a little bit lower, the chances of getting four tickets together, near the stage, are pretty slim. I can't imagine anyone here would have four spares. Personally I would just take what I could get - I saw them from way up in the rafters a few weeks back, and it was the best show I've been to.

There needs to be more 3-year-olds in the pit...

Sorry, didn't read the OP properly...

I know how you feel, I'm 34 and I can see the day coming when I think "my perfect moment up close with Pearl Jam may never come" - I had it with the Foo Fighters twice, but fear it will never happen with PJ, unless their new album sucks on a crazy level  I'd say working on a Time Machine may be a better use of your time than hoping to score miracle tickets here - I wish you luck though and hope your son is OK.

  • Why does the tickets have to be close to the stage? Do you really think someone has 4 spare tickets "close to the stage" for the L.A. shows? Isn't that a very small venue and you'd be able to see the stage regardless of where your seats are?

I'm sorry to hear that your child has autism but jeez everyone has stress in their lives... :?

Lets see, I have 4 extra tickets in the front row for the 10/31 show, your story is just so sad. I think I will give them to you! And I will mail them to you for free-I am just that type of person. I also have tickets for the other 3 nights if you want those too. I didn't really want to go anyway.
