Hey family,
Can anyone name their favorite live version of Red Mosquito? The ending is hit or miss with me. I like,"If I had known then, what I know now..." sung with lots of Emotion.
Thanks,
David

SFIII 06 -- hilarious story afterward between Ed/Mike about mikey doing the slide guitar with a zippo lighter, like maybe Ed's dad's lighter or something, and then Ed said mike should keep the lighter ... NOT!
Think he said before hand about sitting in a hotel room totally sick and writing that song, so that's why I say SFIII -- lots of details about the song included.
And we all know SFIII ROCKED!

Without a doubt the best version out there.
The bootlegs pretty solid too.

Just LISTEN to Mikes guitar. Jacks drums are amazing, the whole band is ON!0 -
For me, it's easy... Chicago 2000. Mike was on fire that night. Black is absolutely incredible that night too. My favorite versions of both songs.0

my first thought - the one that's dead cause it cant bite my leg then
2nd thought - oh right, the song - live on 2 legs i can listen to over and over and over and over (while killing the one buzzing around of course)

i agree, columbia, sc was awesome. did a great job on the outro0

Houston 2000
Columbia 07 is decent but you can barely hear the intro due to some sound issues0 -
I was priviledged enough to hear it at the Albany '06 show and they tore it up that night, but I think my favorite live version is tie between that one and the one from Live on Two Legs. Anyone know which show from the '98 tour that was pulled from?
No matter where/when they play it, I love it. Always love to hear that song, it's soooooo good.0 -

Agreed. Never tire of listening to that version. Sometimes they speed this song up a bit too much, but this version has perfect pacing.0 -
My favourite is the LO2L version. Mike is ON!I will swallow poison0

I was about to say the same thing until I saw this post. Live on 2 Legs"All I Ever Knew" available now in print and digital formats at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and iBooks.0 -
Another very cool version:
11/1/95 Salt Lake City. This is the first time it was ever played. Mike's guitar is just awesome on it.0 -
i agree w/ the previous comment... 11/1/95, mainly because of the much-longer instrumental section towards the end before ed begins "if i i'd known then...."
maybe not the best version, per se, but pretty solid considering it was their first time playing it live.
seek that when you get a chance...0
